Part of me loves these long maps but another part of me hates that you can't see much until you zoom in XD

But anyway! Todays map is the Lair of the Beholder and has a really nice little self contained dungeon feel to it, including a really awesome trap corridor that has its own trap token for use online! There are currently no rules associated with the trap but if someone has an idea they want to share or something they used in their own games, share it in the comments! :D

There will be a Beholder monster token coming in a few days to go with this map but you don't have to use a beholder, other monsters should feel right at home in this lair ;)

Oh finally, there are two more coloured versions of this map, red and purple!

Beautiful!! I'm definitely going to use this in my current game.

Things like pressure plates and tripwires seem like good choices for a beholder lair trap, since it can float over them, and, should it need its minions to leave, can TK them over it. I think a magical blindness trap would also be very thematically appropriate.

i was quite Happy when i saw the title pop up because i might run a beholder in my next session, but sadly im not sure how to use this map. where is the entrance? what are the little things hidden in the Wall? is the left or the right side supposed to be the actual dwelling? any insight is apprechiated, cant wrap my head around it atm :o

The room on the left is the "entrance" the PC's come down into the lair from above, through a hole in the ceiling. The little things hidden in the wall are supposed to be linked to the trap in some way. I left that up to the DM to come up with though. I imagined that the glowing rocks are supposed be little sensors that make the trap go off :)
