Patreon Maps: Ukiyo, The Floating World (Patreon)

Todays map is a patreon supporters world map for a homebrew setting called Ukiyo, The Floating World. I often find myself getting very invested in lore and worldbuilding whenever I have the time, so when I was asked to draw a world map I was quite excited! 

Ukiyo is a series of land masses above roiling chaotic clouds so I thought overall the world from above would look a little bit like a gas planet. Although I must admit I am a little rusty drawing world maps, if I had more time I would have added more details and given some love to specific areas.  I also changed things up abit with this map as I wanted it to be big. In fact I wanted it to be so big I couldn't really hand draw it as I don't have a big enough piece of paper or a big enough scanner. 

I started off with the reference image below, this was given to me by the patreon supporter in order to get a rough idea of the landmasses, I then did a quick sketch before moving into photoshop and doing all the details and colouring.
