Patreon 

I’ve been thinking about making a patreon account for some time, for two primary reasons. 

The first and most obvious, is to generate income that supports me personally and the people working on content to keep making games, maps and extras for people to enjoy. I use the money to live, afford rent, pay for groceries etc, while I also pay others to produce artwork, edit and help with design.

The second is to grow and expand the audience, getting more people to play read, enjoy the content that Blue Sword Games is making. 

You might be thinking, well that's great but why should I support you? It's a question I’ve been struggling with for some time. On the one hand if you like what Blue Sword Games is making then supporting us, if you have a little extra, is very welcome. On the other hand asking people for a monetary commitment is a big thing to be asking and I want to be able to give something back and reward those people with something unique and personal. 

Over the last few days I’ve decided to offer two primary reward tiers for supporting Blue Sword Games on Patreon.

Maps

The maps will be made by me personally, drawn, inked and coloured. You can specify anything you want, either a battle map, region map or world map. The size will be similar to other maps made for other products, there's an example below. While each map will be made for you, it won't be exclusive or owned by you, Blue Sword Games reserves the right to sell, distribute and share to other patreons or the public. You also need to be a patreon for at least 1 month or 30 days at this reward tier before you can request a map. This isn't a commission per say but a way for you to get something made that you need for a game in addition to supporting Blue Sword Games. 

Adventures & Settings

This reward might change over time depending on the amount of interest it receives, but for now if you back this particular reward Blue Sword Games will make a small custom PDF for you. As before, each adventure or setting will be made for you, but it won't be exclusive or owned by you, Blue Sword Games reserves the right to sell, distribute and share to other patreons or the public. You also need to be a patreon for at least 2 months or 60 days at this reward tier before you can request an adventure or setting. This isn't a commission per say but a way for you to get something made that you need for a game in addition to supporting Blue Sword Games. 

To start the process after you have have been a supporter for the required time period send us an email, message on twitter or the discord channel and give us your ideas! These can be relatively detailed or a vague with a broad overview, that's up to you! But remember, grand ideas or large scale projects will be constrained down to fit a smaller scale. For the maps the process might take a few days depending on the workload while the adventures and settings will take up to a month.
