Yo yo yo.

So...I may be crazy but I'm performing an experiment. I have 3 ASMR channels. Yeah you read that right. 

Some of you know about the Lady's Shorts channel but I also created another one. I'm gonna upload condensed versions of my videos on each one to see how they perform. 

The reason I did this is cause I looked at my Lady's Shorts channel the other day, and two videos have 25k views each. More than the original videos on my main channel have.

I have wondered for a while if my channel is cursed hence the slow growth. So these new channels are a test. I made the 3rd one cause I hadn't uploaded for 4 months on the Lady's Shorts channel, so wonder if that'll make a difference.

Just so you know, on the shorts are different than videos. You can't compare the two. One is randomly shown to people scrolling in shorts based on their algorithm/history. Sort of like Tiktok, so views will naturally be higher. With a normal video it can be recommended to others almost the same way but they have to actively click on it. At least, that's how it has been working on my own channel and my other friend's channels.

Yeah that is very true, until I realised the two shorts I thought I did weren't actually real shorts, and they were the ones that were 25k views each. (I rendered them in the wrong setting lol).

Yeah, that #shorts algorithm is something else. 😂 I'm not surprised that the ones that did well weren't truly "#shorts" since YouTube has been separating #shorts from being seen by users that watch regular-length videos. It's a hit and miss. But yes, great idea to start a new channel and see how the algorithm treats it. Just sub'd.
