Content
This is the kind of content that youtube demands in terms of algorithmic success. Low-effort unscripted regular guy "content" that can be released regularly and frequently. I'm of 2 minds about it. I don't think content like this is invalid, nor do i think less of anyone for enjoying it, i watch game grumps at lunchtime like everyone else. But at the same time i fear the complacency that accompanies relying on it too much.
I want my main channel to be mainly content I'm proud of, stuff that's tightly written or meticulously edited. Or music. I miss making music. But all that stuff takes time and while i sit around second guessing whether an idea is good or complete enough to post, weeks go by and people think i'm dead. Worse yet, too much time between videos makes youtube decide to fuck you by not showing your stuff in anyone's feed. Pretty annoying, but lets not devolve into "disgruntled youtuber complains about teh algorithm" number 9 million and a half.
Point is youtube demands consistency but that's hard to pull off when you're also cursed with giving a shit. There was a period where i did a lot of shitty vlogs and looking back on those videos, while some are funny, the whole era reeks of complacency. I don't want to fall back into making a habit of content like that, but i also want to re-train myself to be able to do it sometimes, at least in between the bigger projects.
Anyways here's a video of my sitting on my couch just talking about the games i have in my ps4 library. I didn't get through all of them so this could easily be continued if people like it. Topics include my thoughts on walking simulators, point and clicks, and a bunch of other crap. Have fun listening to my friendly voice comfort your brain with velvety opinions.
