:0! I've been studying extensively how to effectively portray hair, fur, and strong (unnatural) light with oil pastels recently. I ran into so many problems. The purple outline on the bartender looks good. It's just straight up purple, isn't it? I don't think any value of brown is underneath it. I think when dealing with strong, colored light, the edges of the objects it hits will "paint" it in its own color, it seems. I saw this on FA, it's a good-looking commission. Amazing work.

Yes, it's just purple, but I still search for the way to draw the light better.

I seriously love this picture. From the moment I saw it I thought it would be my new main reference picture for both Tai and Tsavik, and I still think that. IT really is one of my favorite portrayals of both of them, and I hope to have you draw them again in the future!
