Commercial Use Policy (Patreon)

Streaming and Paid DMing

All of our maps are free to be used on your streams, video channels, and paid games if you are a Patreon supporter, regardless of your Patreon tier.

For any commercial use, we require that you include the following:

- Our name in the credits as a cartographer or under some other relevant title (“Cartography by Silver Compass Maps” or "Maps by Silver Compass Maps") with a link to "patreon.com/silvercompassmaps"

Extended Commercial Use

The extended commercial license is available to active patrons in the Connoisseur tier. This allows you to use our maps as part of modules, crowd-funding projects, adventures, etc.

Release: You must have an active Connoisseur Patreon subscription at the time of release on your products.

Redistribution: You may not distribute any maps or assets as standalone artwork or products without our permission. This policy does not constitute as permission.

Active Subscription: An active Connoisseur subscription is required if you are currently using any of our maps for commercial purposes. If you cancel your subscription, you cannot use any new maps for commercial purposes.

Notification of Use

If you use any of our maps for commercial purposes we require you to notify us, either through Patreon messages or gmail: silvercompassmaps@gmail.com.

This is so we can make sure the attribution is correct and also so we can add a link to your content on our spreadsheet This will allow patrons to see all the adventures and modules they can run alongside the maps.

Restrictions on Use

The maps are available only for use within other publications, for example: adventures, modules, world building and character supplements, etc. the maps themselves are not available for rehosting or resale as standalone items.

In addition:

1. You are not authorized to sub-license, sell, or lease the maps, nor may you temporarily or permanently transfer your rights under this agreement to a third party. This includes displaying the maps in any format for download on a website, offering the maps for sale, or otherwise for distribution and/or sale to third parties.

2. Use of the maps in a way that can be considered generally offensive, obscene or immoral is strictly prohibited. This means the maps are not available within any material that promotes hate of any kind.

3. Use of the maps in such a way that it appears Silver Compass Maps endorse your product.

Applicable Artwork

All of the maps provided on the Silver Compass Maps Patreon are available for commercial use, except for the following:

- The Cackling Chasm

- The Land of Verda

- The Hamlet & The Hamlet Variants

- Chult Unlabeled

- The World of Crownsrock
