What do you think about the pinout on page 9? What exactly is pin J13 aka Vin- connected to?

Planing a load test (with exploding resistsors)?

Volodymyr Babchuk

Hmmm.... I think you can make a small welder with these.

Explosions or even current slopes for rise-/fall-time: >0.12 A/μs are very undesirable for this laser and I'll try hard to avoid such things :)

Wild guessing from a noob about J13 / Vin-: Maybe just the main input ground connection? Datasheet says something about "open collector"... could that mean output ground is somehow switched?

Naturally one would assume Vin- to be GND. But then there are PGND pins too? In the drawing on left of page 9 it looks like both pins J12 and J13 are connected to the same polygon. But on page 12 they are clearly shown as separate pins. Turns out they are connected to the same polygon after all: https://imgur.com/a/vfD5H

May I suggest some form of soft start and a crowbar circuit. I should have sent you a Lasorb in your care package, but forgot. :( If you can get decent modulation built into your high current laser driver, I would love to buy them from you.

A few Lasorbs are already purchased! In this first version I have just added an RC filter to somewhat increase the rise time and the lowest voltage TVS (2.5V I think) to discharge gross overvoltages that Lasorb might not detect?

My guess, it's connected to PGND. EDIT: Nope, it's mislabeled on the data sheet! It makes more sense that there are two Vin pins, given the current this thing can source.
