My last question about this was purely based on a private message I got from a new patron. What a weird coincidence, that the day after that a rearrangement of Patreon, Inc. fees were announced. I absolutely didn't know about that.

The most important change I can see in wall of text is, that patrons will see a 2.9% + $0.35 service fee added to every single paid post.

Now people who enjoy goofy electronics videos on YouTube are most likely upper middle class citizens, who aren't devastated by spending a few cents extra. But I couldn't help notice that this way Patreon will get 38% more money from the 1$ patrons alone (and that's most of em) (and that for every single paid post).

No judgement in this message, just the facts as I understood them. Vote below if and how we should react.

I like the monthly payment schedule way better; You can take your time and make a good video, no stress to have it done by some date and i can plan for myself with a fixed fee :)

With all the new fees I figured that now my pledge will change like this: Now: $1 + 19% VAT = $1,19 or €1,02 Starting 18-Dec-2017: $1 + $0.38 fee + 19% VAT = $1.64 or €1,40 You get like max. 60% of what I pay. Sorry, there should be a better way with less money taken out of the bill.

I appreciate every patreon cent a lot, but banggood also pays a bit of affiliate money, so I am not starving :) And if anyone wanted to make a point to patreon by leaving, I wouldn't hold it against them

OK I have re-evaluated the situation and decided to delete all my pledges. I would like to suggest that you play around with your Wordpress page to setup a PayPal donate button. I am going to do that with EEVBlog an all the others as well (as far as they got an alternative donation methode)

Hi Marco, I'm sorry but Patreon is dead for me. Please setup a paypal (or similar) scheme and I will keep supporting. See ya.
