"Why do I have to work at some stupid daycare?" Kaylee whined, crossing her arms.

"I know you don't want to work during summer, but you're eighteen years old and It's time you got a job!" Her mother replied in exasperation. 


She couldn't believe how badly everything was turning out for her. Her mom was becoming so much more overbearing than when she was younger. She wasn't just stricter; she was meaner! Not only did she have to be home by midnight despite the fact she was now an adult, but she was now forcing her to get a job or go to a community college. She couldn't even sit around the house anymore without getting lectured about how she should be bettering herself. 


"Fine. but did you have to get me a job at a stupid daycare?" Kaylee wondered aloud, genuinely annoyed that they were pulling up in front of a daycare center.


"What's wrong with working here?" Her mother asked as she pulled the car into a parking spot.
