Patreon is passing even more taxes onto all Creators (Patreon)

So, yeah, now they want to charge us sales tax on your pledges. This is INSANE! I will literally lose ten percent of my income. It's bad enough that I had to wait until the 4th to get paid. No one in my house is ESSENTIAL so I have to use the little money I get through this website to FEED my FAMILY. Now I have to get robbed by sales tax on top of VAT taking $300+ a year from my British clients(even though they're not in the EU). These clowns don't understand that this is some people's only form of income!

So, going forward, I will have to take all comms through googlepay since they don't take out sales tax. Bare in mind that this bullshit doesn't take effect until July and I'll be setting up a Subscribestar and Pixiv Fanbox to try to avoid this bullshit. I apologize for venting, but this is utter bullshit. Patreon was technically required to do this last year and, just like Amazon, they got sick of paying taxes and are passing along the taxes to the little guy.
