Ooh. Such a fun episode. The irony that the holiday of Halloween isn't celebrated by the demons and vampires as they prefer to stay inside is so great. See this show is all full of random twists, from big to small lol. In this instance, it allows our heroes to let their guards down, but even still, who'd expect Ethan's shop and his failure tell inform his patrons about the gift with purchase 😆. We got Willow being forced to step into the leadership role. And by the end, her confidence seemed to grow. She was so focused on stepping up because she knew she had to that she didn't even realize that the look she was so worried about being seen in didn't even matter when it came what was important, which was who she was as a person. She stepped up, took leadership, and everyone listened. And Oz sees her again. I love we that we got to see him look at her with his eyes full of awe in both instances and that he noticed her at the Bronze first in a sea full of people, Interesting that both times were her in literal costumes lol. Will he ever get to see/meet the "everyday" Willow? We shall see. I loved how taken aback both you and Cordelia were at Soldier Xander's chivalry 😂. I like how the pirate Soldier Xander fought in the alley was the guy who was bullying him earlier and him feeling some sense of closure without understanding why lol. Will that confidence translate going forward? The way Xander described the whole experience sounded like a Jordan Peele movie though lol. We even get some Spike & Drusilla this episode. Joss Whedon wanted them . I'm sure someone has already mentioned that Joss wanted them to have a "Sid & Nancy" vibe to them (funny enough both James Marsters and Juliet Landau each thought their respective characters was supposed to be "Sid" and the other "Nancy"). The scene when we're introduced to them in "School Hard" meeting The Annoited One, the part where they look like they're about to kiss in front of everyone, but slowly face the Annoited at the same time was improvish by the actors (James Marsters & Juliet Landau). Interesting dynamic between those two character and how different they feel from the other vamps we've met. Drusilla gets visions and Spike seems to like strategizing and observing his enemies, which we've seen twice. But most importantly, this episode we meet Ethan and are introduced to "Ripper". Not Rupert Giles having a potentially dark secret 😭. That interaction between Ethan and Giles was very interesting. As soon as he saw Ethan he made Willow leave. The seemingly casual, cheeky sinisterness from Ethan and Giles' sudden but deliberate aggressiveness. Seeing the cutback to Giles cleaning his glasses in a way too calm manner for an intertogation, with Ethan continuing to snark, even as he lies on the floor in pain, which Giles responds with a gut kick. The ominous card, ominous music, and the ominous look. What it means is You gotta watch more episodes to find out and I can't wait 😂. I've enjoyed many of your reactions on YouTube and knew I had to come to Patron when I saw that you were doing Buffy. I love following your thought process, seeing/hearing your observations come through by sometimes asking the right questions and also seeing the different directions one thing can take. Glad your enjoying the series so far. Buckle up because the Buffy series is just getting started 😁... Random Note: I've noticed that you rock an INFP hoodie in some of your videos (fellow INFP here 🙋🏾‍♀️, but I'm still newish to mbti lol). There's apparently an INFP character in this series. I'm CRACKING UP at the what that means is... LOL!!!!!!!! Yes to Willow taking charge for once and realizing what's she's wearing isn't a big deal like she initially thought. So many great points, if I ever get to editing these for youtube I wanna rewatch with those in mind, also next ep I'll be looking out for the INFP!!! (also high five cause INFP is where its at lol)
