I love this movie. I got so much to say. The movie spends the first act showing how badass these guys are and apparently better than Green Berets (Green Berets are army special forces, RIP Jim Hopper). Then the second and third acts the Predator takes them out and it becomes a completely different movie. It's such an interesting concept. I wonder if the Stranger Things guys got Jim Hopper's name from this movie, it is an 80s movie after all. As for your question about what stars on the army guy means, a star on their uniform means they're a General. A 1 star general is the lowest general rank, 4 star general is the highest ranked general. So if you see stars on the uniform, they're a general. At the end the Predator notices the trap with the wood stakes and just walks around it, but Schwarzenegger had a second trap ready to go, the falling log. It's a confusing scene, but it makes sense that he would have multiple traps just in case. The guy with the glasses and dirty jokes who dies first is Shane Black and nowadays he's a big writer and director. He wrote and directed Iron Man 3. He does great buddy action comedies like Kiss Kiss Bang Bang with Robert Downey Jr. and The Nice Guys with Ryan Gosling. Shane Black also directed the movie The Predator (2018) which is terrible. Ironic in a way, my man made the worst Predator movie. But most of his other stuff is great. Last thing, Predator 2 is really good, and the newest predator movie Prey (2022) is also amazing. The rest of the Predator movies are not great, they're dumb fun, but Predator 2 and Prey are the good ones in the franchise. If you're planning to watch Aliens Vs Predator you must first watch Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986). Stranger Things took a lot from the Alien movie series as well. Sorry for the long post Nia, I just love this movie and have watched it way too much.

Predator 2 explains more about the predator and the reason it came here. I love Predator 2, too. It’s not as good as the first but it is entertaining and well worth the watch. Prey is just as good as the first and is definitely a must see. Prey also has a direct, though small, connection to Predator 2. Something I feel is a good call back (can’t wait to see you make the connection). Nia I thought you watched the Alien series (I must be getting old). I remember when Alien came out it was a game changer in terms of suspense, and Aliens is one of the best sequels in the history of sequels. However be warned. They are both very intense so bring a pillow to use as a cuddle buddy.
