The good news is we have finally broken the back of our learning.

It has been a week but while Ash worked on the harem morphs substance painter has progressed nicely.

After watching around 16 youtube videos about various aspects I managed to not only understand how to paint on top the Daz models but also how to make translucency layers and export textures etc.

The problem with learning anything related to Daz is knowledge is guarded and people that want to share knowledge often do not teach all you need, or seem to do it as part of a hour long stream where they are learning the process.

Neither myself or Asha are trained in the arts, so it is a case of passion and fumbling around until we get the answer. Thankfully we bounce off of each other well so it rarely gets dull.

This first little test is for G8F, but I shall work on importing the G9 model into Substance. Sadly there is no conversion between one and the other as they are seamless designs, so each will be hand painted.

However if one has been drawn so can the other.

In learning this we should now both be able to complete full colour and larger tattoos, which has been a dream of ours for two years.

Huge thanks to Hexdrake for requesting this.

It has not been the easiest thing to grasp, but I guess if it was everyone would be doing it.

Thanks as always for the support,

Lewis

Yeah, a lot of Daz knowledge is hidden unless you want to pay a hefty price!

And regretfully even those that we’ve paid for often leave key elements out 😬 But we get there in the end!
