Gon: On the boats that stopped at Whale Island there were many women who only liked younger men. They are called fanatics. Me: No, son. If they chose to hang out with you specifically, they're called pedophiles. The date with Palm is a really weird scene, but Gon is absolutely clueless about what he's doing, he's as innocent when it comes to romance as a child can be, while Palm feels the need for validation all the time. Even when Knuckle complimented her cooking a few episodes ago, no matter how much she hated him, she still felt some sort of way that he liked her food. If he had talked to her and told her something nice, she would've probably jumped on him. Fortunately, there's nothing romantic or sexual about this "date", it feels very much like two dumbasses playing roles, which makes sense because they are both enhancers so they are both simple-minded, but wow, Togashi threw that out there for no reason. She's crazy, unpredictable, takes everything literally and uses sharp knives, but Gon is still safer around her than around Hisoka. Shoot is me if I was in HxH. That man is the embodiment of anxiety. I can relate to him on a molecular level. Such a great episode to end this set at. Looking forward to the next one! Have a great weekend!
