So many episodes, awesome! The king's character is inspired by DragonBall villains (Freeza, Cell, Majin Buu) Not only appearance but also personality. If you are a big fan of DB then the similarities are there to figure out xD You weren't wrong in recognizing the King's VA, it's the same as Rui from Kimetsu No Yaiba, Inumaki from Jujutsu Kaisen and many more.

I love how this was a test for all 5 of them. For Gon and Killua to get stronger, for Palm patience and self-control, Knuckle is way too nice for his own good so he needs to be tougher on his opponents and Shoot needs to overcome his cowardice.
