Another emotional rollercoaster... We actually got to learn quite a bit and finally we can say that we know decent amount about Roswaal, I hope so at least lol. Ryuzu was so precious man, it's such a tragic fate, for the whole Sanctuary gang honestly... Why on earth is there a scary powerful guy Hector with the title of "Devil" and what is he up to these days if he is still alive?
It looks like he had some serious business with Echidna.

"Devil" is just an odd translation choice, it should be "warlock". Melancholy is the other lost sin same as vanity.

About Hector. The anime translated his titol as "Devil of Melancholy" when in reality it's more like "Warlock of Melancholy". Warlock in this case standing as a male adjective for Witch. So yeah, Hector is part of the same group of Witches as all the other 8 as the only male member of it.

What a great episode. Another emotional one. The interaction at the end between Subaru and Roswaal was amazing. Also nice catch on Hector stretching his words.

Rewatching this the second time, I totally forgot about the Warlock of Melancholy lol that even surprised me! The ending scene is one of my favorites and very memorable, that is one scene I was waiting to get back to. The fact that Subaru can declare he is her knight, but it feels so different now because of the change in perspective, reminds me of Okabe declaring himself Hououin Kyouma after all the suffering in Steins;Gate 0.
