I feel so defeated and depressed, after all the shit we went through in past like 100 episodes this is how things end up... I'm at loss for words, R.I.P my man... 🔥

Soo we are finally here 🥲. The turning point that will change Luffy. The amount of trauma and PTSD Luffy will have is a lot. Not only because he loves Ace and it's his brother, also because of the feeling of Ace's body turning cold as he dies and most importantly because of the guilt. Luffy surely will feel guilty because he thinks Ace died for his fault. All this stuff with Ace was been building up since we met him in Alabasta, just to end up like that. Lately Luffy has been realizing how weak he is right now. This situation may make Luffy getting stronger or never recover from it 💔. RIP Ace, truly a fantastic character, brother and son.

Very well said man. It's still very much shocking that we lost not only 1, but 2 big characters. Future of One Piece will be so interesting!

So, funny story/sad story. I'm an old anime watching motherfucker. So I had been reading Naruto and Bleach weekly, but never really cared for One Piece nor the art. But my best friend had been telling me I should get into it too. So I thought I might as well. I knew a little about it, I really liked Ace, he was my favorite character, I could read One Piece. I should jump in without reading from the beginning. If I jump into it weekly right now, I can pick up what's happened and maybe go back and read it if I have to. So I started reading the latest weekly release, right as Jinbei was breaking people out of a prison or a dungeon or something, as they all were gonna go save Ace, my favorite character. We see now how that turned out. This was over 15 years ago, I'm pretty sure, and I have not returned to One Piece since. Too traumatizing.

Thanks for sharing that story. 15 years ago, wow... One Piece has been around for a long time. I'm almost 500 episodes in and I can see that One Piece really might seem intimidating for people to get into because of goofy art style at times and number of episodes, but in exchange if they give it a chance they will witness one of the most amazing adventures imo. It's really incredible show, but I have to be honest that Ace's death came in so unexpectedly, especially because it's rare for characters to die like that in One Piece. He was also one of my favourites...
