So hype, I adore this show so much. Along with AoT and Steins;Gate it's in my top 3 favorite TV shows. I think like those other shows you can draw a lot of value and inspiration from it. You already see some connections to S;G haha. In fact, this studio (White Fox) is the same one that produced Steins;Gate! So of course the art direction and OST will be bangers. One thing Subaru mentioned was that he's a -truant kid- with too much time on his hands, which is why he spent so much time working out and getting stronger. Truant basically means you skip school a lot, in case you weren't familiar with that word, it's not very commonly used in English. We also see that he spends a lot of time reading manga and probably watching anime; when he's in the convenience store that he looks kind of like he's just going through the motions (his eyes are drawn dull), and he stares longingly out the window at that couple walking by. The -shine- on his eyes only appears when he realizes he was summoned to another world. What could that be implying? (The light novel beings with a prologue where we see the scene of him and Satella getting murked, then skips straight to him being in the other world at the start of Chapter 1. The convenience store scene is anime original, but I like it a lot.) Final fun fact, you mentioned Subaru has the same name as the car manufacturer. If you notice, the car's logo is a group of 7 stars. This is actually a constellation called -Subaru- in Japanese, while in the West we call it -Pleiades- after the Greek name.

I'm so happy to see your comments again haha. The same studio as S;G, that's awesome. So Subaru is a weeb, but he also trains a lot because he has ton of free time. I wasn't familiar with the word truant, thanks for explaining. His eyes changed a lot when he ended up in another world, I thought it was simply excitment and curiosity, but perhaps there's more to it, interesting. Thanks for the fun fact, I knew about the stars on logo but didn't know about constellation, that's cool! :D
