Thorfinn has no chill lol. Only savage mode. The ship carrying tactic was actually a very known surprise attack that was used quite often according to historical scripts. In this episode the franks didn't expect an attack by water because of the waterfalls and rocky terrain thats why the stronghold wasnt guarded at all. It was possible to carry the ship because the viking ships were made especially light making it possible to transport them from sea to rivers in land.
