So episode 207 is the first episode made in 16:9 widescreen (aired in 2004) and they also improved the animation like you noticed! I'm not sure if you've ever been told this when you started reacting, but you watched the HD remastered versions of episodes 1-206 which originally had a ratio of 4:3 but for the remaster they zoomed it in a bit to make it 16:9. So basically you were always missing a small part of the original screen (I think that for each shot in each episode they chose which part of the screen they should crop to get the important parts). It's a shame you can't watch the new OP as it's one of my favourites, but it does show some upcoming scenes so I get it. The new ending is generally fine but there is some stuff near the end which relates to this arc, so I think it's better to wait with that one as well. This new arc is actually quite different in the anime and manga since they rewrote some stuff and made the anime version way longer (so basically more filler, although it's integrated in the story here). But more on that when we get to those episodes. Also I think it's kinda funny that the old guy makes a point that all the animals on the island are really long and in Japanese a stilt is basically called a bamboo horse (so in a way also an animal XD). Anyway, welcome to what I consider the second quarter of One Piece!

At the very beginning of my One Piece journey I watched it in 4:3 on Crunchyroll and then I switched to 16:9 later on. :D I really like how One Piece looks in episode 207. New island seems very interesting, I'm excited. So more fillers are coming, I assume I should react to them as well right? :D
