What you said in the beginning is so true. Sequels are in a tough spot because they have to live up to the original at the very least. Thankfully Steins;Gate 0 does so with flying colors! It's even tougher to introduce new characters and make you like them as much as the OGs, but Maho is fitting into the cast so well imo and I really like her. One thing I would've done differently with the Kagari reveal was for them not to show her at Ruka's house in the last ep. I feel that would've made her sudden appearance at the lab way more mysterious. We'd have to guess who she was based on her hair color and her old upa toy, then we'd finally get confirmation hen Suzu walks in and says her name. It doesn't really make a huge difference, I just would've preferred it that way. Also, I realized in the last ep that the rumors about a "ghost of a girl with braids" around the Radio building were about Suzuha, since she'd show up from time to time to ask people about Kagari.

I find it interesting that Maho keeps saying Amadeus isn't alive because shes nothing more than memories and Okabe accepts that logic even though he is essentially the same thing after using the time leap machine to transfer his memories. Its like every part of him is rejecting that experience in order to cope with the trauma.

I agree with you about the Kagari reveal, it would be much more impactful and mysterious as you said but this is fine as well. This is a little bit embarrassing but at the time I didn't know what word ''braids'' mean so I didn't even think about that haha.

I really didn't think about it in that way, that's really very interesting. You would think that being system rather than human would make a difference for Okabe but he's aware that he transferred his memories before as well. Btw, thank you so much for joining Patreon! :)
