The first version of Skip Main Menu is called Skip Main Menu Only, which skips the main menu but takes players to the world map of their current save so they can choose which lot or household to play. The second version is called Skip Main Menu & Map which skips the main menu and also takes players directly to their last played household, exactly how EA's Resume button works and our previous Skip World Map worked. Today we have two new mods for players who want to continue where they left off last play session, Skip Main Menu Only and Skip Main Menu & Map.

You can only have one file installed.

Skip Main Menu Only - This one skips the main menu (only when you first load the game, not after) and takes you directly (after the usual loading screens) to the last save’s world map. If you are a rotational player, for example, this will allow you to select the next household in your current save without going through the main menu. If you are a builder and hate EA's new resume function, this is the one you want to download.

Skip Main Menu & Map - This one skips the main menu and world map (only when you first load the game, not after), and takes you directly (after the usual loading screens) to your last played household, exactly how EA's "Resume" button works and our previous Skip World Map worked.

⛔ Skip World Map has been retired because of EA's new "Resume" system. If you used to combine the two mods to load directly into your last played household, please download Skip Main Menu & Map for the same features. ⛔

Other things to consider:

• These mods do not remove the loading screens, it only skips the manual selecting you have to do to get back to your game. This means you will see several loading screens come and go, the same ones you see when manually selecting the playing options.
• Base game compatible
• Conflicts: Minimalist Main Menu and Clean UI by TwistedMexi. Any mods that change the color of the main menu very likely conflict as well.
• Minor bug (does not cause issues): If you have not disabled the Mods list that appears after loading, it will briefly appear when saving and closing the game.
• If you need to, you can still navigate back to the main menu or world maps after loading.
• If you are a modder, this mod is perfect for when you need to reload a lot!

How do I install?

Installation is easy; simply drop the downloaded file(s) into your mods folder.

How do I uninstall? Will it cause any issues?

No issues, you can safely delete one or both files from your folder.

Are there older versions available?

If for some reason you have not updated yet and want a previous patch version, you can find old versions here. Please do not ask for support when using older versions.

(Tip – Not related to our mod, but if you are a player experiencing long loading times because of lots of CC/mods, make sure to uncheck the “Show At Startup” box on the Mods list that appears after loading (you can disable it from your settings as well). This list causes long loading times. You should also use a renaming program to rename CC files (not mods to be safe) to remove any character that is not – or _, A through Z, or 0 to 9, because they slow the game as well. Spaces also cause long loading times. Doing just these two options will help speed up your loading times!)
