Introducing "Samslong TV"! (Important for MPSC functionality!)

Please download the SamslongTV_1_1.zip file from the "SamslongTV" directory in the Mega archive. (See top post for link and code)

Once downloaded, move it into the base directory of your VaM installation (in my case, I'd move it into V:\Vam\). Once there, perform an "extract here" function with your unzip tool. (7-zip is best for Windows, imo).

Another option is to manually create the "Assets\WolfmanVR\Video" directory structure under Custom (see second image of post), open the ZIP archive, and drag-drop the movie files into the directory.

The reason for doing it this way is to allow you to add your own videos into the Samslong TV! Creating as a regular VAR would have locked you into my movie files. I purposefully wanted to make this modular so you can add whatever movies you want. However, there are some stipulations to using your own movies:

1) Movie files must be in MP4 format. (I will work on additional formats in the future, if requested).

2) Your movies must be in the exact directory structure, named exactly as seen in the screenshot - Channel1.mp4, Channel2.mp4, etc. Other filenames will be ignored.

3) High bitrate movies and/or high bitrate audio will often cause choppy audio. There isn't a lot I can do about that. VaM's audio processing needs improvement. Lowering some of your User Preference settings can help, but ultimately the video requirements need to be fairly low if you don't have an extremely powerful computer. I suggest 720p or 1080p for the video, and the lower the bitrate on audio, the better.

I downsized the videos in the zip file to 720p, 22.5 KHz, 16 kbps, and they play smoothly. If your audio is choppy, downgrade bit depth/rate on your clip, or just turn down (mute) the audio on the TV in the MPSC.

Please let me know if you have any questions or problems.
