Bites instead of Breadcrumbs (Patreon)
Content
The majority of readers sign up to find out what happens next, but the story was either Google Docs that struggle to load littered with html italics, or a breadcrumb trail of nameless teaser posts (pt7, pt 8, etc).
Spent last night reorganizing nameless 2,000-word average teaser posts into named 4,000-word average chapter posts which are in parity with how the story breaks up into chapters on most fiction sites. This should make for a much easier reading process for the average patron just looking to get to all the new story, and make everything easier to follow in general. I'll be removing the redundant teasers soon as I've made absolutely sure no content's fallen through the cracks.
I'll probably continue to write the story forward in 2,000-word teaser posts, because readers seem to enjoy smaller but more frequent updates, but there was no reason to have all of the story posts in that format, that's a pain for readers just looking to catch up.
Thinking about adjusting the patron tiers at the start of the 2020 year, possibly to raise the cost of all AnimeCon Harem access to be $2-tier, so that the $1 tier is for only RE: Trailer Trash advance chapters. That could keep RE:TT readers who don't want the smutty AH notifications happy... I'm just not sure if raising the base AH tier is fair to readers or not. I've made major strides in improving the coherency and frequency of AH posts, but have I improved that much?
