RE: Trailer Trash News (Patreon)
Content
While last week's poll made it clear RE: Trailer Trash isn't as popular as that other weird fiction I write, it still deserves some honest attention every month. The fiction is something of a dark horse on Royal Road—despite not being a LitRPG, taking place in a fantasy setting, having a traditionally overpowered protagonist, or even having more than just a handful of chapters, it's managed to defend a position in the highly contested ranks of the site's Best Rated list. For over seven months, RE: Trailer Trash has persisted within the top ten.
The fiction is also doing surprisingly well on StoriesOnline (although abysmally on FictionPress), and today I'm going to open a ScribbleHub account and start posting chapters there.
Last month, we were finally listed to Web Fiction Guide, so now I'm going to be posting a voting link. Each vote helps rank us higher on Top Web Fiction! We've not only climbed up onto that chart, we're already somehow halfway up it.
Finally, I'm excited to announce we'll soon be getting new cover art. Previously, we had a cover from phasmonyc basically fall into our lap—now, I'm working with Erick Efata to do an official one for us. If I'm pleased with the end result, I'll additionally be commissioning him to do the four official AnimeCon Harem covers.
Prepared references for face and hair, preferred body pose, the blouse I want her to wear, and the mobile home backdrop. He just got back to me with:
I've asked him to remove the cigarette? Pencil? And swap out the trees and plants in the background, for the outlines of more trailers and utility poles trailing power lines. Basically so that it looks less like she's chilling at an abandoned camper out in the woods, haha. I did ask him to make her look like she's fifteen or sixteen, so that at least is intentional, it should reflect her age by the conclusion of the first volume. We're maybe... halfway there, or so.
