I apologize for my long-term radio silence of late- I’ve been reflecting deeply on what I want to create and why I want to create it. Something I have realized is that, for me, animating on SFM misses an element of “artistry” that I feel from writing and drawing. In other words, it isn’t as satisfying. In OTHER words, it’s harder to stay motivate to animate.

for the time being, I’m going to be focusing on writing primarily, and drawing secondarily. Writing has always been my greatest skill set, and this means I can release high quality content MUCH more consistently.

My drawing isn’t on par with my writing, but I’ve been practicing very consistently. While I’m still not the best artist on the internet, I feel that I’ve reached an adequate level- and that level will only improve with time. I actually am nearing completion of a 9 panel anal vore comic that will showcase my current level.

animating/rendering isn’t completely out of the mix, and it may be that in time I return to primarily animating. For the time being, I want to mix drawing and writing. I don’t mean just creating comics, but rather novelettes with occasional illustrations. 6-10 page stories with 2-3 illustrations of key parts.

With this is mind, I’ll be posting a poll on Wednesday as to the subjects of this first “Novelette.”
