Update - June 2023 (Patreon)

Hello!

Let's start off this month's update with the new end-of-month polls. Starting last week, these polls will be an ongoing thing. The last Saturday of every month will see a poll, and the winner of that poll will get a bonus chapter/story sometime in the following weeks. The runner up will show up in the next poll, but the other poll options will be switched up for the sake of variety (and to give some of the less popular stories some love).

Right now, last week's poll is looking pretty neck-and-neck between Baby Steps: Generations and Influencer. If that results in a tie when the poll ends, I'll flip a coin. As for this month's poll; if you have any favourite stories you'd like to see in it, leave a comment or message and I'll be sure to add it to the list.

That aside, the writing plans for June!

[Week1] - No new additions to the Archive this week (likewise, no story post next Saturday). More on that down below.

[Week2] - Shard Warriors Vol2 Ch8 and the first chapter in a new fantasy series (June 9th for the Archives, June 17th for the Patreon post).

[Week3] - All American Queen Ch24, Shard Warriors Vol2 Ch9, and May's poll winner's bonus chapter.

[Week4] - A Royal Trade P2, chapter two of the new fantasy series, and a TBD.

Technically, there's a fifth Friday in June, so there'll be another set of chapters then. But what those chapters will be, I can't say. Probably the final chapter of Shard Warriors Vol2, maybe Dark and Light, or - if the May poll is a tie and I have the time - I could put out a chapter for whichever option loses the coin toss.  We'll see!

As to why there are no new chapters this week; simply put, I took the week off.

May was a lot less productive that I'd planned, and a lot of that is due to me just being completely worn out. The last few months, ever since December, have been all kinds of busy and stressful. So, the moment an abundance of free-time opened up, it's like my body just decided to shut itself down. I managed to get some writing done, but I was in a perpetual state of exhaustion during. When I injured my hand at the beginning of last week (nothing major, just something that would've made writing an uncomfortable experience for a day or two, it's fully healed now), rather than going on and writing as planned, I took it as a sign to stop and rest. Really relax and unwind, enjoy some of that free time.

Which, it turns out, I very much needed.

With how refreshed I feel now, I've gone ahead and set some big targets for myself this month. Three chapters a week, multiple weeks in a row. It's ambitious, but I think I can manage it. Guess we'll find out pretty soon!
