So i decided to spend a day testing out redoing the scenery and its safe to say that i'll be doing the same for the rest of the scenes. Suprisingly i managed to increase render speeds by 20-30% with the new scenery. I used a plugin called geo-scatter with botaniq assets combined. Overall the scene has more structure, fog, higher quality models and more varied foliage. I still run out of ram while using 4 characters in the same scene though so i might need to upgrade to 128 if i want to keep complex riggin systems in the scene. Its not the models or materials themselves that require the ram but more of the rigging or deformation systems like the rope deforming the skin. In this case i actually just baked the effect instead of using modifiers to save a few gigabytes in ram usage.

Looks fantastic. Bit curious as to the clock speed the RAM is being pushed to, but just from the previews, I can definitely understand why using a 4 channel 128gb set up could be needed.

64gb ddr 5 at 5600:ish mhz. Clocking is matched with the amd cpu clock speeds aswell. if i didnt optimize the ram usage would prob be around 70-80gb

Geez, DDR5 at 5600 and already maxing it. That is scary. My horny awe at these animations is matched only by my respect for the fact their being done without a dedicated render server at this point.

Trust me i am struggling to keep this project in a renderable state lmao.
