I think Superbunnyhop edited this video. :P

Wow that LaserDisc lick; the BRAZZERS logo. Such a sexually charged episode for Aladdin. Arabian nights indeed!

Well, Dan Castellaneta was Genie in the Return of Jafar and the TV-series, and it sounds like him in this too. Sad to say Homer Simpsons does not a good Robin Williams make :P

Ahh new LGR: My withdrawal symptoms manifested as DOS prompt hallucinations whilst reading and hints of wood grain on large surfaces. I found that sitting very close to a CRT screen kept the symptoms within sanity levels.

(to the tune of Prince Ali's chorus) LGR / He's so bizarre / but just a reviewer / he doesn't drone / but has some clones / near the computer

First off, @ 0:41 That lick! XD. Secondly, I never really had any Activity Center programs as a kid. All I had was "Me and My Dad" which was part of Mercer Mayer's "Little Critter" book series. It was pretty much just a digital picture book with some point-and-click/pop-up book animations.

Man that manual was impressive. I strive to milk huge companies out of their money like that person.

I had quite a hearty chuckle from the Brazzers logo. XD Yeah, these activity center were fine for my younger brothers, but they didn't hold much interest from me. Also, dat video compression.

That kind of Video For Windows and Quicktime compression from the mid-90s is quite endearing, somehow!

I remember a commercial on a VHS we had of the Lion King advertising the Lion King interactive CD-ROM and good god did I want that game. In hindsight it probably would've been boring in the long run but as kids we didn't care, it was Lion King on our computers and you could do stuff and get clips from the movie and shit. To this day I've never actually played that activity center thing but I still kinda want to.

I guess this is from the time when you could sell any garbage by including some tiny quicktime clips of a popular Movie/Show and slapping the "Multimedia" label on it. Who cares that the games are simplistic, repetitive and boring - there are TINY MOVING IMAGES from that thing that you know ON YOUR COMPUTER SCREEN! How freaky is THAT??? I had several of those discs about Star Wars, Star Trek, Babylon 5 etc, and the fact that I could watch those clips frame by frame to study aspects of it almost made up for the worthless stuff around them.

LazyGameReviews

"you could do stuff and get clips from the movie and shit" summarizes every one of those activity centers, haha. Weren't missing much in actuality, but dang if they weren't neat to play at the time.

LazyGameReviews

I used to borrow those Star Wars and various TV show multimedia CD-ROMs from the library all the time, hehe. They were always disappointing in how little there was to do, but just seeing video on a normal PC was mind-boggling.

The main map immediately reminded me of The Imagination Network by Sierra On-Line. I had more fun there than just about anywhere else. There's never been a community like it since.
