Yay for licensed games! Minority Report is definitely one of those games with repetitive mobs to add "pacing." But it is also one of few games to do JETPACKING correctly! And I guess they couldn't use Tom Cruise's likeness so you play as a gray haired man instead (which works for me). p.s. I'm glad to support this show. Keep on keepin' on.

You grew up in Flavour Country? Quote of the episode: "I like wood!" Where's the ghost slaying manifest????

Hey, I used to write random fiction that I stored on floppy disks, too! But that isn't my story, sorry to say. :P Also, as a female who is somewhat knowledgeable about fashion and their brands, that Louis Vuittion bag is either very fake (knockoffs of expensive purses like that are extremely common) or a real one happened to make it to Goodwill by some sort of rare event. My guess is it's fake, but who knows. It's possible to find a real and valuable item like that at a thrift store, but you gotta be lucky and have your eyes peeled. Kind of goes with any type of item at a thrift store, as you well know, LGR! :)

I feel special now. I saw a pic I sent Clint on Twitter used at the end. Silly thing to feel special over, I know.

I have a question for ya, Clint. Have you ever been to the Edward McKay stores or the Trade-It store chain in North Carolina? Trade-It -sometimes- has good deals depending on the store, same with Edward McKay but it really depends on the item they get since they tend to look up what prices their going for like the Lost Ark place and most game-focused stores, but they are generally cheaper. Like, the NES games I found were 3 bucks and SNES games were 5 bucks. Some were marked up, but none were too high unless they were rare, and even then the price was cheaper than eBay. I saw Power Blade there for 10 bucks and then looked it up seeing it going for 20 or more. Same thing with the Yoshi's Island, it was 20, but I won't be able to find it online for cheaper than that because of the game's legacy, plus I traded in a bunch of useless junk I had in the attic and essentially paid nothing for the 4 games I got. I also got GTA2 for 3 bucks from there a week before. Their PS1 games are usually cheap too.

I guessed it had to be fake as well, but I mean, I had no idea really! Just assumed since others were passing it up it had to be.

What a great way to wake up this morning (as I'm in Europe); with a new episode of LGR Thrifts. Really entertaining and interesting as usual. Thank you for doing these.

Nice MS Bob in the background at the beginning. ;-D Also I'm glad I'm not the only one who keeps stumbling across boxes of 3.5" floppies, though none of mine have had anything on them.

There are ctrs with component cables? Really you mean y pr pb?

Ezydenias

where is the link to this story you found?

Aaaaaaaaaa I'm so jealous of that Sidewinder find! A friend of mine had one long ago, and it was the most accurate and well-built joystick I'd used until… Well, right up until I tried a Saitek X52. I ended up getting a Logitech Wingman Extreme Pro Force Feedback for Christmas one year that died after 2 hours instead. Yes, hours. And I got a non-ff version later that died in a matter of months. Put me off from Logitech gear for quite a while. I still remember using this stick with Mechwarrior 3 on his PC…

Believe it or not, i was playing Rayman (DOS) with a sidewinder precision pro and lots of platform games with. I still got it (2 of them actually) but their joystick part are kinda weak now thus not centering not very well needing to ajust the dead-zone. But those back in the day were really good joysticks !

Force Feedback Pro? Niiiiiice. I always wanted one of those back in the day, though I did (and still do) have it's little sibling the Precision Pro.

I think I saw the tower you mentioned about to me, that my server's spawn tower looked like. Pretty cool how that turned out to be such a coincidence. lol I need to try to check out other Goodwill stores in my area. :)

Yeah, CRTs with component input are the best of both worlds! High refresh rate (at an affordable price), nice bright color, and interlacing for old games/movies. I had a ~20-22 inch flat screen CRT with component input and it was the best while it lasted.

HUGE amount of nostalgia when you showed that "Bugdom" PC Game! I used to always play that on the computer!

Bugdom! haha I remember playing that game as a kid it was pretty fun, any chance for a review? :)

Hey what game is that in the background with the quote "I have no mouth and I must scream?" at the beginning

LazyGameReviews

That *is* the name of the game. My friend PushingUpRoses reviewed that exact copy of it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nzr64-ESJ1A

So LGR was in my hometown of Greensboro. I'M NOT WORTHY!!!

Loved this video. Most of the stores you went to I go to somewhat regularly so we may have seen each other, LOL. The CompUSA in Greensboro supplied most of my computer games when I was a kid.

Erwin Bierhof

I was wondering, If there are so many of these stores near to each other, how are they able to turn a profit?

LazyGameReviews

Heck yeah dude. Do you remember the bin/cage of clearance games and software near the front registers there? Got several cheap Sierra games from that... including Outpost, haha, wow that was a letdown
