RIP Mr. Hops-a-Lot. :( I don't trust that dog... I wouldn't want a homicidal dog teaching any children I know. Isn't that a perfectly logical concern?

LazyGameReviews

Freaking LEGIT concern. Seriously, just seems so strange that Frankie just takes over like that, and even replaces Hops-a-lot in later versions of JS Kindergarten. I'm thinking mob connections... I mean c'mon, "FRANKIE"?

I love old clicky games. Have a pretty nostalgic relationship to them.

I know what happened to that bunny mascot from the Kindergarten game...Reader Rabbit knew someone was steppin' on his turf and had some homeboys go to work on him with a pair of pliers and a blowtorch.

4:38 I find the photos of food in a cartoon world strangely distracting...

I used to play Jump Ahead Year 2, and it had a lot of differences from what I recall...the games were more like actual games (for example, a maths game based on Frogger) and the mascots, CJ and Newton, were much cooler than these jokers ;)

You'd expect educational games to at least get spelling errors fixed before shipping. Never heard of the series before!

Not sure i would want my kids being taught by animals. I mean think about it kid's smell + teacher crossed with animal smell = Square cubed, I mean er your kids clothes are never going to be clean again.

Have fun on your trip and be safe.

You would think, yes. And this was version 1.2, makes me wonder what the older versions had.

It would be nice to hear your thoughts on the I Love Learning trilogy by DK Multimedia. I had fond memories of playing I Love Spelling and I Love Maths, but I never really got to play I Love Science somehow. Also, because you brought up Pogs, there was also Tazos that were pretty much the same thing, except you earned them from buying chip packets and had different designs like technical, moving pictures and so on. They died out quickly but then came back as velcro disks that could be picked up by a tennis ball. That also died out quickly, and so far I haven't heard anything about them since. I think I spent way too much longer talking about Tazos then I should, so I'll stop.

3:24 "... The Siiimpsooons"

I wish I had some of those, but I actually do not. I recall them though, playing them at the local library
