Such Balls. Many Spheres. Much Wow.

I am pleased with the Spot reference (I had the NES version). At least with Spot, the game could be played quickly and it was amusing to see the various animations. This game feels as slow as running through molasses.

I was expecting plenty of references to Balls by the name alone, and I wasn't disappointed. Just a shame the game itself doesn't really live up to that concept.

Holy Balls! That game looks boring!

This could have been a much better game. Cool vid though.

I would have preferred a review of the invisible packing peanut Josh sent you Clint. As for The Ball Game, I say let's file it under "Virtual Board Games that kinda suck". PS: Bonus points for clearing your head the right way Clint ^^'

So, this is a variant of the game "Infection" (which most people know as Ataxx) which you can get the history of online. Infection is the grandfather of all of these types of games (Spot, that puzzle game in 7th Guest, etc.) so you might want to mention that if you feel like making an edit (but the tone of the video suggests otherwise, lol). Here's a history: http://trilobytegames.com/pix/provenance.gif

You might have just invented a word: Laction.

Clint, you post the only Balls I care about.

You're welcome for the graphics.

Dude! I’ve been trying to remember the name of Ataxx for like 20 YEARS. Thanks for the reminder!

Before watching the video, I thought you will be looking at 2010's indie PC game "The Ball". I've only played that game's demo, but it certainly looks far more interesting and worthy of your time, if you ever intend to do a semi-follow-up to this video. It'll probably take time, since you've already spent your yearly word "ball" quota.

Yeah, I think I'll pass on this one. And even though the marketing does seem a bit deceptive, it did show screenshots on the back of the box. Bu, admittedly, without seeing any animation I could imagine a lot more action or ball busting going on there than what ended up being the case.

I was actually expecting a computer version of the 1970s game you mentioned. When you mentioned it I felt like I must be right. But, I was wrong. Nice video, though.

Well, The Nerd certainly has more balls per year than you. ;) In all seriousness, this simply looks like one of these quick buck 2-3 months dev time games that where shoved out on the appropriate system on tape for like 7,95 DM, for rough € prices divide by two, or 9,95 DM for the disk version back then.

floverSaeu09

so did you have a ball playing this "Ball" game xD
