OH MY GOD! THE CHAMP GAMES! I LOVED THESE AS A KID! Found them on a shareware CD my dad had and fell in love with them! Amazing arcade conversions if you ask me! Too bad Champ isn't around anymore, but you can find the games floating on the web, so they're not that hard to find.

Nice! The full games were later released as freeware and are linked to in the video description :) And Champ Games sort of made a comeback several years ago, with Atari 2600 homebrew: https://atariage.com/programmer_page.html?ProgrammerID=332

Anyone else notice that 60FPS videos kinda stutter when you view them inside Patreon, but are OK if you click through and view them natively on YouTube?

Oddly enough, I completely missed these growing up. :o No idea how, considering I had internet access fairly early in its existence. :P

I never got to play all of them back in the day - but the ones I did play, I did quite enjoy. Chuffed to see that he's doing homebrew stuff for the 2600. I really should dig mine out and AV mod the darn thing so I can check out some of those homebrew carts for it.

Every time I go to Office Depot there's some damn KID playing games on the computers! -disgruntled businessman of the 1990s

Man, I haven't played those games in so long. I never played shareware versions of these arcade games, but I did play Microsoft Arcade (and the other follow-ups, Return of the Arcade and Revenge of the Arcade... nice naming there, Microsoft :P) and that's what got me hooked and interested in these kinds of games. Even remember playing Missile Command on the Atari way back when. I need to play more of the legit arcade versions of these games... I've only played like, Ms. Pac Man, Centipede, and Dig Dug from actual cabinets, haha. :)

If you released Champ Kong today, you'd get ceased and desisted so hard, you'd be seeing stars. And that's if you didn't sell it at all lol.

Heh, I do wonder how it'd go over... I mean, half the app stores now are just knock-offs and clones.

Definitely wanna cover the MS Arcade series sometime, those were quite influential to me as well

Ha! The thought pleases me that some dude was pissed off I never stopped playing Battlezone, yet never said anything and just stood there stewing

Can't say it's happening with me, but I've heard the same from others. Seems to depend on your system specs and your browser.
