LGR - Hunting For Duck Hunt PC Games

Since you have a Vive you have to check out this Duck Hunt proof of concept. Feels like you're stepping into your NES, so much fun even if it only works for three levels before crashing :). http://rly.sexy/releasing-duck-hunt-vr/ , he still has it on a Mega Mirror. Here's some video of it in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxK_WJ-V1c8

My OCD kicks in when seeing published disks with the write protection off... *flick that tab* ^_^ Sorry, back to you, Clint! :D

Haha.. darn autocorrect! I did initially type off.. otherwise that comment made no sense!! :P Changed it now though. We're on the same page, but you knew that. ;) Seems the struggle for Duck Hunting was rather futile in the end, but thank you for taking the hit for us. Now we know! Makes for good entertainment, just love it! :D

I'll be sure to remember to name my dog 'Patreon dot com'. Nice review i absolutely love retro stories and reviews of obscure games!

That was awesome. Loved it. As someone with a large collection of duck related things (that's me, it's a bit of a problem) if you decide you want to part with that mousemat let me know :-)

Ha, you will probably enjoy the story of Moorhuhn (or Crazy Chicken) then, the most successful German computer game of the early 2000 according to Wikipedia. I remember when this was big, every kid played this at home, in school breaks or computer classes. It was insane. It was also denounced in the media for being a threat to German business productivity. :D https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moorhuhn

So it's the best Head Game you've played yet? Or maybe just least terrible?

You should set up a Patreon goal to buy the Headgames.net domain name. Heck, just make it $15,000 a month and then buy some other old domain name every month!

And then make a satirical, snarky Head Games fan-site, as for the domain not get wasted.

Never really saw the appeal of duck hunt/light gun games. Though I do own Mario and Duck Hunt and two NES Zappers. Bit unrelated but have you ever heard of a game called Holiday Island? I remember playing that a lot as a kid. You basically have to construct a holiday resort. The music is really awesome too for back in the day. I've been trying to find a copy but most are in German. My copy was in English. It was made by Sunflower Interactive. I believe they had something to do with the Anno series too? Would really like it if you'd cover that game some day. :)

Holy crap! I had the Duck Hunt game on a shareware CD collection in the 90s! I haven't seen it in almost 20 years!
