well, it does look like an upside down cross so that kinda makes more sense.

Looks interesting enough, the EGA palette only helps to make the Count just that bit creepier :) Shame it just devolves into a repetitive fetch-quest-a-rama though, because as you point out, it'd be interesting to play as the Count for once :)

Huh, that music at the end sounds familiar, maybe I played this at some point?

Reminds me a bit of Monster Bash, which should be reviewed as it's a Halloween classic, especially episodes 2 and 3 of the registered version!

Wow! 10 places to save! Gotta love selling points for old games. :) Now, I feel like I should leave you alone with the orange Ubisoft registration card... looks like things were getting personal ;)

I actually looked that up before making this review, and according to vampire lore, even upside-down crosses repel them since that's the symbol of Saint Paul.

Nice review! This game is very similar to http://www.mobygames.com/game/horror-zombies-from-the-crypt equally suited to this time of year ;)

I saw the box in the background on your shelf and crossed my fingers it was an upcoming review! I played the heck out of DOS version. I wonder if there is an actual ending to the game. I couldn't make it past the third loop. It gets ridiculously cheap. I saw pics of the Amiga version and longed to play it.

I jumped when Hugh Jackman appeared. Maybe because I replayed Vampire Bloodlines a few days ago. Also : Amiga is superior ! \o/

Very awesome! I did (as my Ultra Maniac Gamer character) a horror episode on a classic DOS game i bought from GOG.com Personal Nightmare about two weeks ago! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgLuLMS3MP8

It's this sort of thing that makes me ponder why the amiga was never as successful in the states as it was over here in the UK....

odd.. why was one of the floppy disks sporting a green text label ?

Another great review. The game seemed to be awesome for 1988 when most people did not know what a PC was.

Ahhh now I remember, one of the old Amiga/C64 jukeboxes online used to play that!
