Datcravat Patreon will be paused August & September 2023, you won't be charged! (Patreon)

Every year I pause this patreon in August ("pausing" means you as a patron don't get charged). During the pause I take a break, study art and fix up business stuff!

This year it'll be August and September. I won't be doing the usual patreon stuff, but it's not actually a break for me haha- gunna be using the time to come back with improvements.

• Am currently running late on June artwork and it's eaten into July, so I may also be finishing up July's artwork in August!
• July Prints Club will be sent during the first week of August.
• You don't need to do anything. You won't be charged and the patreon and artwork will resume at the start of October.

Here's what I'll be doing:

• Will be learning how to make more merch such as enamel pins, sticker sheets, gold foil prints MAYBE. Working with suppliers as a designer is a new skill I'd like to learn to make more complex merch (GOT MY EYES ON ENAMEL PINS ESPECIALLY), and ways to ship them cheaply & safely (then perhaps eventually integrate into the patreon with a prints + merch tier).
• Patreon will reopen with improvements. Prints club (which will likely be renamed "merch club" or something similar) rewards will be sent out in several scheduled batches (you will no longer have to wait a full month after payment for shipment if you're a recurring patron!) and the front page will get a revamp too with graphics of the current rewards for the month updated regularly.
• Online shop (and prices) will be revamped. Currently working with a web designer friend, we've got a long-ass google doc ahaha.
• Mama Cravat will be trained up to handle the shop on her own. Currently she handles a lot of the work with a little help from me. I will still have to come over to write the thank you notes and sign things though, haha. It will always be a somewhat team effort (and it's super fun). Thank you for being so welcoming to her so far!
• I'm going to do a lot of studying. Perspective, gesture, anatomy, photo studies, art studies, environments, objects, MEN. KunoMD once told me to go and study on art mountain! So I will go. Definitely want to not worry about any monthly deadlines for a little while to focus hard on studies. I'm so used to focusing on drawing art to be made into prints I've kind of unlearned how to draw anything else and need to loosen up! I'm hoping to break through barriers and unlock new skills.
• Learn blender and CSP >:)
• Put effort into socials other than twitter while it disintegrates, haha.

I'll also be doing behind the scenes stuff that you won't directly notice

• Do my taxes & sort out a financial system that streamlines the process from here on out
• I'm going to try and move house! Most people don't know but I live somewhere terrible - street is overloaded with litter, men harass me when I'm at my front door, gangs and drug deals where children play; INSANE, persistent, LOUD noise pollution. It definitely negatively impacts my ability to work. Settling into a new place will be a great business choice, haha. Thank you for enabling me to save to do this.

Then there's also personal stuff. Family members have had babies and I've not met them yet, gotta go change that!

Also during the break there will be a HUGE FLIPPING SALE in the online shop. We've hit the point where we can't carry stock of all these prints! Several older/least-selling prints will be sold out for good, and we also want to make room and prepare for different kinds of merch.

I'll still be active online during all this, we can chat any time! I hope you like that little Purah ahah, she's the WIP lineart for a sticker! Midna is also coming along well.
