Hello!! Here is an unfinished Malenia and a bunch of little drawings I posted this month!! It's definitely been a month for studying.

I'm not good at stylizing armour, so referenced it directly here for the above Malenia. However that created so many new issues - my style isn't photorealistic! But I don't know enough of the foundations to stylize armour satisfyingly into my style yet. So she was really hard to draw, and ever since finishing Himeno I've done nothing but work on learning armour with a few bits of Sonic practise between.

I tried so hard to get a Malenia done on time, I promise!! A bunch of WIPs were made (2 that got quite far are shown here). I need a lot more time to experiment with this & learn new skills before I can complete it to a good standard - certainly more than two days like right now, ahah. I want to go for photorealism for the full thing. This piece will become a bit of a backburner project for me to chip away at, & hopefully someday I'll post it finished. I hope you enjoy this WIP for now - after going so flat out, I do want to take a break from it for a bit haha. I hope this is okay, especially after such a dramatic poll!

This month was taken up a lot by the aftermath of London MCM, followed far too soon by Birmingham MCM, and then black friday for the online shop!! It's been a complete whirlwind and in tandem I've made a weird whirlwind of art. Thankfully I did manage to complete 2 pieces for the prints club, Power and Himeno!

TLDR:

  • No final Malenia drawing for now.
  • Dec prints club announcement will be up soon. There will be 3 prints + 1 sticker.
  • Patreon rewards of Power & Himeno coming soon!
  • You'll also get the layer files of all the above pictures.

Thank you for sticking by me!! I'll just have to make up for it in December and post lots of art!! <3

Honestly I think you made great progress with your studies! It’s always good to see more well known artists willing to take a break and learn then tackle something that they struggled with again. I do genuinely love the contrast between your style and the realistic armour though! Proud of you, genuinely <3
