Look, a new camera! The mighty Canon 1D X Mark III to surpass my previous Canon 1D X Mark II. While the name does not change much, the new camera inside is bloody brilliant. The predecessor was too, but this just does everything so much better.

Especially video. The previous stills camera did not have such a capacity to grade the colours in post-production and thus its video basically records less colours and their vibrances. The new camera, instead, records even better video than my day job's cinema camera.

Where would I need the cinema camera any further, you might ask, and that would be a valid question - but it has way better ergonomics and audio monitoring capabilities, so it's a much better package when on the go.

But then again, what Project L has recently lacked was the casual way to pop on the video recording mode with ease between taking photos and then just resuming the photoshoot.

I haven't yet tested the camera's RAW video capabilities with support for 5.5K video. Yes, 5.5K. That's more than 4K.

Here's proof: below is a screenshot from wolframalpha.com.

See? 5.5K is bigger than 4K!

tl;dr - new camera is bloody awesome, especially when recording video

Stuck at home | Project L: Part 81 - Behind the scenes of a latex photoshoot

Project L is now on Patreon! Come support us at https://www.patreon.com/tuomas See the photoshoot here: https://photour.net/project-l-part-81-stuck-at-home/ This video is a brief representation of the 81st Project L's behind the scenes photoshoot, which dives into everyday life of someone stuck inside their apartment with nothing to do but to wear comfy clothes. And perhaps have some tea. Also pet the cat. This video was recorded with a Canon 1D X Mark III using its 10-bit 4K DCI resolution. You can also find us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/photour.net Check the actual photoshoot and more photos at http://photour.net/category/projectl/ Project L exists to show people that latex can and should be a part of regular day clothing. Sure it's extraordinarily shiny, sure you sweat in it. But as they say, beauty is worth suffering for.

Your professional use of WolframAlpha shows that you are not only a man of the fine arts, but also a man of science. I salute you! :D [But seriously, I think WolframAlpha is awesome and more people should use it!] Thanks to the 4K resolution, I am now wondering about the tattoo on Jonna's right upper arm, and the bandaid on her nose. Probably wouldn't even have seen those in 720p :D Anyway, many thanks Tuomas for the nice video! You are right, these little clips from in between the photos really add to it.
