August Report #01 (Patreon)

Hi, I've decided to change the way I report my work to something more descriptive. Here's what I've been doing since the last post:

HS Tutor: 

1. Mila's repeatable scene + Zoe masturbation (fully done)

2. Sex scene with Roxanne in her Studio (25%)

Solvalley:

1. I programmed a DLC system that works in a modular way, i.e. the player only needs to download the DLCs with scenes he is interested in and they are available at Alex's house in the new DLC option.

2. Prom scene - sharing version with new animations (50%)

Honeymoon Island:

1. acquired some new assets that will be needed for the next scenes

2. reworked the 19_09 animation from scratch and rendered it again

3. chapter 21 (75%)

Some useless toughts: 

So I had a pretty bad case of gout, I even took a picture of my toe because it was so comically swollen, but I won't post it here out of respect for my patrons who don't deserve to see it. The intense pain took a while to go away, so I tried to work on more "technical" things rather than creative ones, like redoing one of the Honeymoon Island animations. But it's been about 4 days since the worst of the gout crisis passed, and I'm back to working normally.

About the last HS Tutor update:

You may remember that I didn't like the last update. The school part was supposed to contain several sex scenes (Kelly + Amelia, Melissa, Madeline + Sophia, Mila), since the intention was that the player would be rewarded with erotic scenes while solving the school's problems. But I panicked because it had been more than 6 months since I'd offered an update for HS Tutor and I wanted to move forward with at least one of the characters that had no content yet (Angela, Pamela, Roxanne). The result is that the school part has become just a hindrance to the player's progress. There are at least some interactions between the girls, so it's not a total waste of time, but it definitely didn't reflect what I really wanted to do. Also, some people were confused about what they were supposed to do there, because there's no hint that you have to give the hemp grinder to Melissa, it's pure trial and error.

I still don't know how to fix that. I'm definitely going to put in some lines telling the player what to do, but if I add some sex scenes, players who have already passed that part won't have a chance to come back, so it'll be a fix that creates new problems.

It's something I'll probably have to improve in the future. But at the moment, the focus is on creating new scenes.

On controversial content:

The latest update also has a lot of politically incorrect stuff in it, Zoe is quite diabolical in the scenes. I thought a lot about that because I don't want anyone who plays the game to feel personally offended. Also, in today's climate where every entertainment product tries to have a "message", I don't want people to think I'm doing the same thing. I see my games as the kind of carefree fun you have when you're drinking with friends or something. It's not something to take seriously, it's just to have a good time while erotic scenes are happening.

After thinking about it for a while, I came to the conclusion that this kind of content won't really offend the target audience for my games, which is basically men who like porn games. And I also think that people who aren't the target audience but play the game will realize that the content isn't very serious. My conclusion is that Zoe and the things the characters say aren't really offensive, so I don't intend to change the tone or anything.

In Mila's repeatable scene (sexy lingerie), Zoe masturbates until the end instead of interrupting beforehand as she does in the normal scene. In addition, there are new animations with Mila and also with Zoe. 

Upon returning to the island, Angela brings a new bikini for “Ellen”, but it doesn't help the girl much when it comes to hiding her nakedness. Oh, and Angela “forgets” to bring something for the MC to wear, so he remains naked. Note that I've censored his dick in this image because I didn't think anyone would want to see it here, lol, but in the game there's no censoring obviously.

With the modular DLC system for Solvalley, I think I can solve the problem of solo VS sharing scenes. People who hate the sharing scenes can ignore them completely and just download the solo content DLCs. DLC 1 will be solo (Milena + Maela, Alex and all the mothers), while DLC 2 will be sharing (alternative version of prom, Marian working in the brothel). I'm adding animations to the sharing scenes because they were all based on still images, which was my way of saving time as the sharing scenes were lower priority. I'm slowly working on the scenes because now my priority is the other games.
