Now that we have the whole comic I can clear up the story a bit.

The VIP's full idea was as follows:

Miles Morales is patrolling New York while Peter is away and sees and explosion, swinging in to help he sees Norman Osborne falling from his building and swoops in to grab him, Norman slipping a ring onto Spiderman's hand as he does.

Unbeknownst to Miles, Norman planned this after finding something known as a 'Venus Ring' which changes the wearer into the perfect woman; malleable to the desires of the person who put it on them. He changes from a college kid to a full-grown career woman, and bride of Norman.

Reality warps around him as it changes to make room for the new 'Maria Osborne'. She begins to freak out as the two versions of her mind clash but a kiss from Norman seals her fate as Maria replaces Miles. Only Norman remembering the way things used to be.

A bit complex and admittedly I wasn't sure about it when they proposed it. But I think it came out really well. They have further plans for this universe so stay tuned. As a reminder VIP comics don't count for the monthly comic so there will still be at least 2 more comics this month plus sequences.
