This didn't really came out of no where though, since I've been drawing her Kindergarten version in similar hairstyle XD

I would have thought Paz was always the way she was. After all she was built to be Charles’s assistant and protector and he doesn’t have time for fun and games

That would be correct,she takes direct orders from him, second from Molly, so if they both gave an order, she would listen to Charles fist. (so if she's told to just relax and have fun with Molly, this would be it) And when she was built, she wasnt sent directly, but spent some few days at home doing some test and some time with Molly.
