Here are some comics I did in 2013 for a graphic illustration class in college. Both were done in traditional dip pen and ink on 11 x 17 paper. The prof had a strict theme for each comic. The one on the left had to show my commute to school, and the one on the right had to be based on a well known fable (I chose the snake and the turtle). The limited format didn't make for great humor, but I enjoyed the art I was able to produce with the dip pen.Using a dip pen can be insanely frustrating. One wrong move and you can explode ink all over your paper and just like that all your work is ruined. It's also the method almost every newspaper comic strip artist uses. Hope you enjoy these quirky little strips!
