Man, I've also had quite the day. Electricians in the house doing some maintenance and as soon as they're done and leave, I don't have any power in my apartment anymore. No lights, not internet, fridge getting nice and warm. Several calls with my electricity provider later, the electricians are sent back. I had to wait close to two hours for them to arrive and another hour of them fixing whatever they messed up earlier. But I'm here now and ready for a new movie! - Is the theme human experiments? - Don't you just love a good blood-soaked hospital room? - That 10 years later time seems a bit too bright right now, I don't trust it. - Is this turning into a new season of Produce? - I don't like how worried the parents get about Ja-yoon's special skill. - Boiled eggs on the train, is this Germany? - Oh yeah, that's Choi Woo-shik who was indeed also in Train to Busan and Parasite. And looking at the cast of this movie, the actress who plays Ja-yoon, Kim Da-mi, is also the female lead in Itaewon Class. But she looks so different here, I didn't even recognise her. - That IS the guy from Strangers from Hell. Hyun Bong-sik. - Bullshit. There's no way an automatic door would just open while the train is moving at speed. - Bone marrow transplant from the biological parents is gonna be tricky though, with her being adopted. - And I guess this is where the movie turns proper creepy. - Yeah, we're both at a point where we've watched enough Korean movies and shows that we start to recognise a lot of actors. - Yup, there it is. Telekinesis. - Oh shit, Ja-yoon is kinda badass. - You always find a way to incorporate Dragon Ball into everything. I'm not even surprised anymore. At least you're more successful than my attempts to promote Dark at every opportunity 🙃 - „Is your brain decorative?“ Holy shit, I'm gonna use that 😂 - This whole thing reminds me of Logan where they're creating new mutant children in Mexico. - The whole bullshit with only using a small part of the brain again? I'm so tired of this trope and it's not even remotely accurate. Because we DO use all of our brain. Just not all at once at the same time. - Oh fuck. She baited me too. - I hope this turns into a horror movie but from the perspective of the killer - Jesus, her eyes 👁👄👁 - Oh yeah, this is super anime. - Rule 1 of attacking from behind: Do not announce your presence! - So does her adoptive dad know about all this? Because he talks like he does. - That ending is confusing me. Pretty good movie. Overall nothing I haven't seen before in stuff like X-Men etc. but it was well made. The twist that she planned this whole thing from the beginning was really good, I did not see that coming.
