In MMA, if you shit-talk like that, you either back it up or get your face smashed in. Quoting Mike Tyson: "Social media made y'all way too comfortable with disrespecting people and not getting punched in the face for it." It's actually the first time I'm rooting for Japanese and American teams in a K-show. They were so chill. 😅 Audrey was just like, "Hi Bestie, could hold my crown for a second. I need to show some disrespectful drama queens how to freestyle. Thanks 💗💗💗." I'm pretty sure, the other 4 girls who put disrespect stickers on her are really, really quiet right now. 🤣

I'm so glad SWF won the poll. I was particularly excited this season bc I’m familiar with quite a few of the dancers. As far as the potentially manufactured drama I will say that the beef between Lia and Mina (who btw was also originally the leader of Want last season but had to drop out before filming) was 100% real. It felt like a pretty epic fallout at the time bc of what a powerhouse those 2 were together. Mina was Lia's star. She brought in so many views to the channel and then they just cut all ties suddenly. As they said, pay was a big factor but I think just credit for work was a big one. The fact that the fallout was so bad though makes me curious if they may have made ammends any time before the show aired bc I have a hard time believing that they allowed the 1st time they spoke in years to be in public like this while putting on such a spectacle. I feel like they would've spoke in private first. Also, the trash talking between the 2 crews might be a little bogus. Both Minny and JJ (of Deep n Dap) only recently left 1million and they still seem pretty close to the other instructors (and Lia) so I don't think there's any real tension between the crews just the leaders. Excited for you to get to episode 2. I may have a few more tidbits to add again when we get there bc I've been such a fan girl for years of a lot of these dancers. I won't even start how amazing Kirsten being there is.

Essay time. I'm watching this for the first time with you as I never finished the first season. So far it really feels like I just rewatched season 1 episode 1. The people are different but all of the storylines are the same. It feels like the disrespect is dialed up even further even though the best parts of season 1 where when they became friends. When season 1 blew up all the leaders where going on all the variety shows together and they were all very friendly and there wasn't any of this nonsense. I can only hope that as the show progresses they dial down on the needless disrespect. I like that they included a Japanese and International team. We'll see if it works or not as when they have to work together in future rounds there will be a serious language barrier. Also trying to trash talk people in a language they don't understand is kinda pointless and when they try and trash talk in a language they don't speak it sounds cringey Bada kinda reminds me of Noze in the first season since they both worked with Kai and they're the only famous ones in their team. But yeah the Aiki and friends was even directly said in the episode. Mnet can't make it anymore obvious. The drama with her and Redy seems dumb. From what they both said they never had a fight or anything it's just their team disbanded for other reasons and they grew apart since they went their separate ways. Glad Bada won that one. Kirsten vs Wackzy or however she spells her name I thought that Wackzy did better in the first round but they were both good enough that the judges wanted to see more and then Kirsten won in the second round. Yoonji seems crazy to me. I don't think she was just acting up for the camera she really seemed furious. I thought it was closer than the final score but I was mostly turned off by her attitude. Audrey!!! When 6 people gave her no respect stickers I was like oh no not another Chaeyeon situation just because she's the youngest on the show. But when she smiled and gave them the thumbs up I knew we were in for a twist. Also the editing like you said was clearly setting her up to "surprise" us and do a great job and boy did she deliver! I have no respect for people who pick on the weak and boy did it backfire on them. Not only did I not get to learn they're names but I barely even got to see their dance since they were cut together to save time to spend on Audrey the star. And I agree with you about the nameless opponent's teammates calling foul like what are you talking about we got girls elbowing each other in the face over here and Audrey didn't even do anything to her. Harimu was on the spinoff street dance fighter for high school students and was the real fan in Hyolyn's Sea Sea performance on Queendom 2. JJ the girl in deep n dap(what a terrible name) with the blonde and red hair was Hyolyn's choreographer. I didn't realize that she had also left 1million . This was just sad. From what they both said it sounds like Redlic(yes, red-lic not relic) was running a youth group and Harimu did something to cause them to loose a job so she scolded her. Even if Harimu didn't do anything wrong as the only adult and leader you still have to try and make the client happy. There's still a lesson to be learned in this situation. It seems like Redlic really liked her as a student and was hurt by Harimu coming after her. I could tell that she had no desire to fight that battle. If beating Redlic really means that much to Harimu then she can have the win. It feels like a child lashing out at their mentor to try and prove that they are ready to be on their own but in doing so it only proves to the world how immature they are and that they still have so much yet to learn. Lia Kim vs Mina Myoung Mina was one of the most popular choreographers at 1Million. I used to watch 1Million videos before I got back into kpop in 2019 when Mamamoo came to 1Millino to perform GogoBebe since Mina choreographed it. I was watching when Mina left several years ago. At the time she basically said the same thing that she wanted a raise because she earned it and Lia declined so she left. I'm not sure what she's been up to these days. 1Million is a good place for up and coming choreographers to get an opportunity as they have a huge audience and companies want Lia Kim's name on their groups. I generally try to pay attention to who the choreographers are of songs that I like and ask a Purple Kiss and Mamamoo stan Lia Kim's name is everywhere. About the credit issue like Lia Kim said if she makes the choreo her name is listed as one of the choreographers but if she just directs/reviews/produces/oversees the making of the choreo then it says choreo by JJ produced by Lia Kim. Now was there a time in the past where the direct involvement vs producing wasn't clearly called out? Possibly, I don't know all the facts. But like I said earlier companies are willing to pay for Lia Kim's name on their group's choreo and if the young choreographer was solo they would have never gotten the job in the first place. Just like how idols leave their companies after their original contract is up to go solo and spread their wings they don't all hate the company they are leaving. Take JYP as an example. Rain and Sunmi left after putting in their time and using the company to gain fame and fortune but there are no hard feelings and they still collaborate from time to time. I think that 1Million is a good place for new choreographers to get a chance and then once they build their own reputation they are able to spread their wings and go out on their own. Now as for the battle you didn't actually think that they were going to show the title card fight in the first episode did you? Mnet do the exact same thing in every show :) Yujin in GP999, Bora vs Kei in QP Rihey vs Honey J in SWF1 I'm not sure yet how much of this seaon I'm going to be able to make it through but the dance battles are always fun. I partly gave up on season 1 because I was spoiled on the winner so hopefully I can continue to dodge spoilers for this season. Loved the reaction as always and stay safe!

Yeah I wonder if we're going to get to see all 6 Audrey battles or if the other 4 girls are going to pick someone else when put on the spot. Assuming that they are allowed to change their minds.

Very excited to rewatch SWF2 through these reactions. Personally I’m a bit biased because I LOVE Bada Lee but I ended up rooting for different teams through the entire show. A good thing to keep in mind is that—besides the drama between 1million and Deep N Dap— all the trash talk and drama in this show is either surface level or fake. Don’t worry about taking it seriously because even the dancers themselves don’t take in too seriously and are all friends off screen. As for the Lia Kim vs. Mina Myong Drama, that was very much real and they definitely had some personal disagreements to work out amongst themselves. The short explanation would be that Mina felt that she wanted a “raise” essentially and wanted more credit, while also feeling like Lia Kim takes more credit than she deserves. Lia feels that because the people that hire 1million to create a choreography are hiring them because of her, she has a right to take credit for whatever input she has. It’s more of a disagreement that requires a civil conversation between the two to resolve—not a dance battle. I personally feel like Mina handled it rather immaturely . As for Yoongji, I love her, she a natural entertainer, which did not go so well for her in this episode. She’s definitely the kind of personality that you warm up too, and yes, she was definitely playing up the drama for the cameras
