zhang hao not being in your top 9 is an actual crime against humanity

Daniel Goland

Doing it on the spot as I did already felt like a bad idea, and I was already regretting my decision and getting confused. I planned on doing the top 9 at the end of the reaction but got too excited, and then regret followed lol. Though, my thoughts were not intended to insult or offend anyone, and I'll probably change my mind a few more times by the time we get to the finale.

Yes,please, let’s check ep13 and final group’s performance on kcon. They performed say my name and here i am,it was amazing, they’re already so popular

Maria

don’t worry about it, everyone is entitled to their own opinions, no matter how incorrect they may be ☺️

tbh i was just surprised as even if he wasn’t their one pick, most people put him into their top 9 automatically because of how good he was - the only person to get an all kill of wins on the show, i.e. all star in ep 1, kept it in ep 2, chosen as #1 g group, highest points in his kill this love team and leader of the only g group to win, highest points ever in tomboy, and highest again tied with haruto in over me. honestly kind of legendary.

I think you should speed up next episode and go to normal speed when they perform their songs. Pauses when minhyun announced members are pretty long. I love bp but I skipped a lot of finale

Daniel Goland

I'll be honest, I didn't even realize that I didn't mention him until I saw your comment. Pretty sure I mentioned Zhang Hao in previous reactions especially after TOMBOY. 😅

Definitely the main reason Hui wasn't getting votes is because he is already an established industry veteran in his thirties and his group hasn't disbanded yet. For example imagine putting someone of his caliber in the same group as Takuto, a 15-16 year old with absolutely no professional experience yet, the disparity would be way too great and the team balance would be off, it's like being in a group with a parent or your manager lol. Most groups debut between 16-20 with a clean slate for the most part so there would be a greater sense of harmony. That's the main argument i've seen online. All the people in this episode's TOP9 have a more even age range, and although Jiwoong debuted in the past, his group was very unsuccessful and had many hardships so you can't really compare, another example is Yujin in Kep1er, although she has a similar profile to Hui's in terms of seniority, her group also declined and burned out, so ppl voted for her to give her a second chance, however Hui could just go back to CUBE tomorrow and work on a new album if he wanted. That's the difference.

Matthew dropping to 9th place is a direct result of the Say My Name drama that Mnet dragged out, it's such a shame how many people started viewing him negatively simply because of having normal human emotions

The reason Jay gets so much hate online is because he used to do livestreams and he made an offhand comment about NMIXX. Also he has said some very cringey pick up lines and stuff so it just rubs people the wrong way. Basically he was saying a lot of stuff with no media-training and it immediately put a target on his back before the show started (kinda similar to how videos of Fu Yaning saying the n-word surfaced before Girls Planet aired and she was easily the most hated person the entire show, despite being a pretty good vocalist) At the end of the day your personality as an idol is very important, almost MORE important than your actual skills, because that's what makes Kpop different from other music markets, the variety content, the livestreams, the survival shows, youre buying into this person's entire being. Why do you think a fake bullying scandal will wipe an idol off the face of the earth, meanwhile a celebrity in the west can commit crimes, insult people, get cancelled a hundred times and still have millions? Because talent overrides morality in the west, however it's the complete opposite here. I'm not saying Jay is a bad person I don't know him at all, i'm just saying people are way more picky when it comes to Idols and as someone who has been in this community for 5+ years I completely understand why someone as talented as Jay isn't getting as many votes as you would expect

Thank you for this reaction!

- I'm not sure why you were having problems with the speed up. I watched the majority of the finale sped up (on Viki as well) and there were no issues. Maybe it's because you're also recording at the same time? - Your NCTfication idea makes me think of tripleS :D They are basically a female NCT and they have actually snatched up a whole bunch of former survival show contestants from My Teenage Girl (Jiwoo, Yooyeon) and Girls Planet 999 (Kotone, Nien). There are still 10 spots left to fill, so there might be more. - And seeing the Yue Hua practice room there, I have to ask: where the hell is Everglow?? It's been a year and a half since Pirate! - Ah yes, the Produce experience. You know how many are going to be in the group, so you choose double that number of canditates you want to debut. Every time. - Hell yeah, Jeon Somi! It just makes sense, she placed first on Season 1 of Produce 101. And yes, it really has been a while. She is getting that proper YG dungeon treatment. Debuted solo four years ago, has a grand total of eight songs. Newest release is over a year and a half old. This is why I can't get really invested in any artists under YG. There is just so very little music coming out. - „They ATE“ bro wtf are you talking about, there was no food consumed in this here room. Gen Z talk confuses me. - This is really much more bearable when you watch it sped up. - I'm actually surprised at how well you've managed to steer clear of spoilers. I was spoiled on the top 1 winner and two people who didn't make it into the final group before I had the chance to watch the finale. I made the mistake of following a bunch of the canditates on Instagram and one of them posted a post-show letter after he was eliminated in the final episode. And the second one was spoiled to me by an old nemesis: a random ass YT community post from a channel I'm not even subscribed to. The same thing that spoiled the winner of Queendom 2 to me. - rip hui's pentagons - Yes, the exact same elephant spin game was on Queendom 2. But I believe they didn't play for food there. - Why does Billibilli translate „Killing Part“ as „Highlight“? It's already an English word, why replace it with a different one? This site might have the better video player but Viki seems to have better subtitles. - The tale of screaming Takuto continues - „His name has either two or more vowels.“ That is just a complete mistranslation. Somi is talking about the letter ㅇ which is a consonant. It's silent at the start of a syllable and makes the „ng“ sound at the end of a syllable. Sucks that you can't seem to have both a good video player and fully accurate translations at the same time. - „This feels surprisingly fast.“ Yes, that's because Somi has gone through this exact bullshit herself and knows how horrible it is. She most likely only drags it out as much as she is legally required to but no more. - Where is Chaehyun's solo song, damn it! - You might be better looking but I am shorter by 9 cm! Wait no, that's not a flex... - Sung Hanbin, the true immovable object of Boys Planet. - Here's Chen Kuanjui's name in the original Chinese characters: 陳冠叡. Copy and paste that into Google Translate and let the robot pronounce it for you. - Haruto was fucking robbed. - Idk, Somi telling Woonggi to „keep going and make your dream of being a Kpop idol come true“ feels really fucking condescending when HE ALREADY DID THAT. HE ALREADY DEBUTED IN TO1. Which was also formed on an Mnet survival show btw. And then WakeOne (who will also be managing the BP group) had the audacity to remove him from the group and send him to another survival show again. Fuck them. It kinda makes me want to rewatch Road to Kingdom so I can look out for Woonggi this time. - Look mom, I'm on TV! - So with Woonggi and Haruto out, I had to reshuffle my top 9 a bit. This is what it was after I first finished episode 11: Sung Hanbin Zhang Hao Kim Jiwoong Kim Taerae Keita Ricky Park Hanbin Park Gunwook Yoon Jongwoo The two people that came in to replace the eliminated contestants in my list were Keita and Ricky. Keita was always really close to my top 9 anyways and that Over Me performance sealed the deal for me with Ricky. - Kim Jaehwan is also a former member of Wanna One, just like Hwang Minhyun. Now active as a soloist. - If it was Loona's Haseul waking me up like this, I would maybe consider not killing her. But anyone else is getting stabbed. (for legal reasons, that was a joke) - Cue Chicken Noodle Soup by j-hope and Becky G - I am firmly on team Jelly Pop. - Kum Junhyeon: a very smart person. - Damn, pushing Jay out to sub vocal 6 is kinda fucked, ngl - It's exactly the same as on Girls Planet. Just take all 18 canditates and make two groups! What do you have to lose, WakeOne? - Getting biased towards Park Hanbin is only natural. He was my one pick in the end too. - Most disappointing elimination for me was definitely Haruto. He was always in my personal top 9 from the very beginning.
