- Like I said under the last episode, rewatching this show with the knowledge of who Mun-yeong's mother is recontextualises so many aspects of the previous episodes. - I don't remember any previous instance of them mentioning that the incompetent nurse is the director's son either. „How about both?“ Yeah sure, if you wanna get completely fucked up you can mix beer and soju. Ask me how I know 😅 - This little advertisment here is just a taste of what's to come in Vincenzo. I adore that show, truly, but good lord, the product placements in there obnoxious as fuck. - The Angel-in-us coffeeshop was featured in previous episodes but I don't know if it's a real place so I'm not sure if this is still part of the ad. - That scene of Sang-tae feeding porridge to Mun-yeong just gets to me, man. - In a nutshell: shit is hitting the fan.

This episode always destroys me 😭 so much stuff makes sense though after finding out who her mom is. This is my second time rewatching the show and I still get surprised by some things when I rewatch it. It’s so crazy

I think in the director's case, mixing them both might just be what the doctor ordered 🤣🤣

Although the series after this one I'm looking forward to the most is Goblin, I think Vincenzo will be a very nice change of pace.

Wait... is your birthday February 11? 'Cause that's when my mom's turning 50, this Saturday 😅

yes I think seeing what YOU want to see is the most important thing. after all we have already seen a large part of these shows. so I think we should give you as always some suggestions and describe the series to you a bit and after all the suggestions the good idea would be that you watch trailers or teasers of these series. then you do a poll of the 3 or 4 series that intrigues you the most and we choose from these 3 or 4 series. it's the best way for you to watch a series that you like

Let's recap what we know at this point about Mun-yeong's mother (with a bit of speculation that I did on this point when I first watched it): Mun-yeong's mother killed Sang-Tae's Mother (we don't yet exactly know why). The father (who just learned that he will die soon from a brain tumour) recognizes the murder. Maybe already affected by the tumour he fears what the mother might do in the future to other people and what will become of Mun-yeong if left alone with her mother (after his death). He pushes the mother (seemingly in an accident) down. Mun-yeong witnesses the accident (without the father noticing). The father tries to hide the body in the basement (assuming the mother is dead) and later at night tries to get rid of it (in the lake). When he comes back he tells the lie about going "fishing" (in the middle of the night) to Mun-yeong who of course recognizes the lie. Remember: What we see in Mun-yeong's flashbacks are "memories" told from her perspective as a traumatized child. So they might be a wildly exaggerated and warped "nightmare" version of true events (similar to when we see her mother as her "sleep paralysis demon"). In reality the injury most likely looked worse than it was because of the blood and the father already was in a bad mental state and confused. So she might have been just unconsious and woken up in the water (because of the breathing reflex). Therefore: the mother likely survived but was (badly?) injured on the head. Maybe she was found by some random person walking by or she got herself into medical care. Maybe she first had amnesia because of the head trauma? She might have taken some time to heal and even needed (or purposefully gone for) plastic surgery to change her appearance. Since she had no papers on her in her nightgown, she most likely was considered a "jane doe" (no known name) and later when applying for papers had to get a new name and identity. By the time she was back on her feet (and maybe regained her memories) her husband already was "locked away" in the psychatric hospital and she was declared death. We learned this episode, that she originally came from a family of doctors and had a medical education herself (that she just didn't finish because of her marriage and success as a writer). So she could have used that knowledge to now (under her new identity) finally earning that medical degree becoming a nurse and later transfering to the psychatric hospital to get close to her husband for revenge, enjoying his suffering. His death "completes" this revenge (and her need to pretend to be somebody else). Sounds logical? At least that theory was how I explained it to myself at this point

Happy birthday! Looks like you both celebrated a round age 😁
