Loved how they filmed the ptsd attack on the bus, with the war outside of the windows. Wasn't there an episode where ppl (the doctor or other patients) said that the ptsd patient was totally fine and should just leave the institution? Yeeeah, they might have to reassess that one. About the "I raise my kid my own way" (something like that). Just like Gang-tae and Munyeong knew each other when they were little, it's possible that their mothers also met at some point (before the murder). And maybe Gang-tae's mother made a remark to her about the way she was raising Munyeong. Or maybe Gang-tae's mother said something (positive) to Munyeong to which her mother didn't agree with?

My wife and I met on what was technically a blind date. We've been together almost 30 years now. :) The PTSD situation. The visuals were a good effect. And I think they capture the feeling well. At Fort Benning, GA they have an Infantry Museum. In the hall dedicated to Vietnam. They have a room in that hall that simulates a jungle at night. With an audio track and glass boxes on the floor that light up to show boobytrap in the box. I was there with some Vietnam vets there who were part of my dad's unit. Some of guys really struggled to even walk in the door to that room. They triggers to activate those repressed feelings/memories can be so slight. Other guys never even hesitated to go in. They've projected that it was Munyeong's mother since episode one. In the field where child Gang-te gets scared and runs away from child Munyeong. She is ripping the wings off of butterflies. They implication at the time being she was harming animals for no reason. I only made the connection when they showed Sang-te reporting the butterflies killed his mother. Still it was super subtle, props to the writers for doing it so well. There is a scene in the credits of this episode as well. In addition to the "scenes from the next episode" bit.

Damn, well, I take back every single thought I had in my head that I didn't voice but expressed with my facial expressions about blind dates :) Good for you guys, 30 years, that's beautiful!

haha, Thanks man. Though I don't think it's by any means a reliable method. Unless your friends are good at judging who you'd be good with. :)

I don't normally talk about this stuff but I decided to go ahead and comment on it since you mentioned how well you thought it was done. About the PTSD scene, I was diagnosed with it at 15 years old (im now in my early 20s), and I lived with it undiagnosed for a couple of years before that, so I can confirm that that scene is beautifully done and truly does justice when depicting how intense episodes/attacks can be. Obviously mine is not from war since I was so young, so I can't comment on the accuracy of that part, but from my unfortunate experience with these episodes I know the realness of how they feel, and how helpless and terrifying they are as well as how easily they can be triggered, so the show did a fantastic job in my opinion. It actually brought me to tears when I first watched it (and still does sometimes). I really respect this show so much, its truly beautiful to see how gracefully they handle everything :)

I really appreciate you sharing your thoughts and personal experience, LeAnna! Thank you 🖤🖤🖤

Still love the director so very much. He even got Gang-Tae to open up. The head nurse sometimes comes off as a bit abbrasive, but not "K-Drama" evil. A bit strict, with a slight disconnect in social situations with the younger employees. Sang-Taes and Mun-Yeong personal growth really, really warm my heart. I was expecting Mun-Yeong to take a way more selfish and darker path. I'm glas I was wrong. I'm feeling my predictions from last week all coming true, haven't been wrong so far 😉

- I wish Blu-rays had a skip intro button. I just started Game of Thrones season 3 on Bluray and I do love that intro but man is it long. - Eh, I've done weirder things than bread with ketchup - What does the Fox say? Not sure but he performed at MAMA 2013: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isaK9ppSN_s - If this show was set in Sweden, there would be bananas on that pizza. You can still count yourself lucky. - Good question. We only ever see Jae-su serve that ridiculous everything pizza but a regular margarita or pepperoni have never made an appearance. - I have to admit, I actually managed to burn a grilled cheese and not just once. - When has context ever mattered on the internet? - I can't personally relate to the PTSD scene but it still hits so hard. Incredible depiction. - „You were just following an order“ Being German and very aware of my country's history, that sentence has a lot of baggage attached to it. And it also makes me sympathise with Mr. Kan even more, knowing how much he regrets it all. - Love seeing your brain work and figure out who the butterfly killer is. - But is Gang-tae not gonna go back to that framed picture to take it out and see what her face looks like? - This is a tough one. I completely understand Gang-tae and why he can't bring himself to tell her but I also understand Mun-yeong's frustration of not understanding why he's upset. - Also, why the fuck is Jae-su here - Ah right, an obscene amount of pizza. Obviously. - That is a very nice photo studio. - Holy shit Gang-tae looks so different.
