Bittersweet, i only knew Ateez and Btob and I wished for Ateez to win but really everyone worked their best and stray kids deserved it

This was a journey. I really thought this show might get old, since at first everyone was doing dark, crazy dance concepts. Round 3, with the cooperations and sports festival really got me back into it. Thank you Daniel for presenting this show to us and suffering through the 3 hour finale in spite of hunger and back pain.

2023-02-26 17:16:41 I'm happy I finally got to watch this episode in its entirety for the first time ever. I wasn't able to when it was airing because the app we had to use to vote WAS TERRIBLE. Couldn't even concentrate for SKZ's performance because only then I was able to vote wjshdfjas. Man, Kingdom sure was a journey. I know that it was said a lot that this was a popularity contest. As a Stay it was genuinely the most stressful time of my life. I've always engaged with fan culture but at the time this felt so different. I know a lot of newer fans don't know much about how this was for Stay back then, but it really felt like a life-or-death matter to us for SKZ to wins Kingdom. SKZ's reputation in Korea was very complicated, Hyunjin was on hiatus and no one (judging by how the rest of the group acted during most of it, not even the members) knew if he would come back. And at some point winning Kingdom felt like the only thing we could do to show JYPe that it was possible for SKZ to thrive and that we would continue to show our support. It almost sounds silly now. But I genuinely don't think SKZ would've gotten the same results for global evaluations+streaming if it wasn't for the situation we were in as a fandom. At times we just felt really hopeless or desperate, and Kingdom was a direct way we had to help them through the difficult time. Fun fact though, if you remove all fan-obtained points from the ranking, SKZ would've still won. So I guess they didn't even need us as much in the end. Anyways... sorry for ranting, I just got really emotional finally getting to appreciate the journey without the anxiety and uncertainty of the moment. All the groups did amazing. And it was a great reaction from you as well <3
