Ateez at this point could see that there wasn’t going to be a fair competition and chose to perform for the fans, not for the mnet execs and experts. If you notice, every group was in last place at least once. Ateez hadn’t been yet. TA-DA! They got last place this round. Answer is an all time fave by many Atiny, and it and Wonderland sparked an increase in the size of the fandom. It’s a beloved song. Like if they had chosen to do Star 1117 or Aurora. I’m a staytiny and am happy for SKZ, but the scoring for Ateez here is not any way I can really justify no matter how many times I watch it. The dance was a bit out of sync maybe? But they didn’t do anything to justify last place. My thinking is a lot of the experts, after they were revealed, were pretty closely related to SM Ent. SF9 and The Boyz both did SM made songs. Some of the experts had worked with BTOB as well in the past. No one is going to put down songs by EXO, Taemin, or Blackpink. Ateez is a small group from a small company who write and choreograph in house. They don’t have the kind of connections others do. So when everyone does well and not just Ateez and StrayKids doing outstanding while others are okay, they get pushed to the bottom. Much of this is my thinking, though the experts having worked with those people is verified information I looked up after the show.

Very late with this comment but thank you for considering Eunkwang the visual of BTOB. Kwang and Changsub got heavily bullied in their early years because they don't have the standard pretty boy idol look. They were voted the worst looking idols in 2014. They did have terrible styling in the early days (but who didn't in 2012?) but they are gorgeous and deserve all the love in the world. Bobby and Ikon won my heart with their reaction.

Halfway through watching I completely stopped caring for the ranking. The ranking system has so much bs going on and all the fandoms had strategies how to only support their group + some had the popularity advantage, so the final rankings after each round are not realistic at all. And at the end of the day everyone has their own preferences. I for example started watching Kingdom for Ateez and TBZ but completely fell for SF9.

This rounds ranking results were somewhat shocking. Obviously everyone has different preferences and I would take any resoning for 1st to 5th place, but as much as it pains me to say The Boyz should have ranked last. They gave a great performance, but they did not understood the assignment! This round was NO LIMIT. Go crazy, bring in collabs or more probs, give me fire or something! Basically what they did for round 1 and 2 would have been appropriate here, but they did the opposite and just performed a song and dance cover. I actually really enjoyed it, but they're competing in a show, so I have to be fair and judge accordingly to the given criterias. And TBZ completely missed the mark here.

I see what you mean, it's very easy for me to overlook that aspect to be honest, and I have done that before too, I'm just focused on the performance itself and with the actual "Rule" of the round in mind, I'd definitely go with SKZ as I believe they truly nailed the meaning of "No Limit".

same reason i put Stray Kids last in the Re-Born stage, I have to put The Boyz last in this round. To me, it's a great performance yeah, but nothing in it fitted the No-Limits theme, they did not understood the asignment

This is the same reason I would have to put SF9 in last place. They also did "just" a cover. Also concept-wise it was pretty weak. They already did sexy (multiple times), and now let's do even-sexier. That's not a change of concept / showing a different side. More the opposite. It shows your limits. Also to choose Move and try to out-dance / out-sexy Taemin is setting yourself up for failure imo. Don't get me wrong, they did great and I liked their performance, but was it great? Original? No limit? ...

@crispy chicken I respectfully disagree. Like did you see SF9's sets and props? They designed a whole camera choreo, used every centimeter of the stage (not just the center like other groups) and didn't just cover the original sound and choreo of the song, but made it their own while still including the most iconic part from the original. You actually can reinterprete a sexy song in a sexy way and still make it feel and sound different.

It's looking sooo professional. In this episode I was sooooo impressed of BtoB. We all know they are amazing singers. But this time I was so blown away from the vocal range of eunkwang. I'm not really interested in Jazz but this was amazing. And yes.... Minhyuks neck veins are 😳😳🥵🥵 Answer was the first sing I've ever heard from Ateez and caught my attention. So I was so happy to see them performing this song. And the collaboration with the la poem singers was a really good Idea. I was so shocked when I saw this the first time cause they are singing in German and I couldn't connect german opera with K-pop in my brain. But it was definitely epic . Move by SF 9 was soooo rude. But I have to admit , this was the first song I really liked by sf9. But it was definitely a peace of art. The Boyz cover of exo was so insane.. the dancing was so sync . I was totally shocked. I really liked this performance a lot. Sunwoo comming out of the snakes mouth was so cool too And the best thing for my was they performing monster witch I love since I heard it for the first time in 2017. So thx for the awesome sunday reaction. I was enjoying it so much as always ❤️ Btw........ I think it would be nice seeing you wearing K-pop makeup 😏 have a really nice and great week. I feel like on a scale of taking an iconic song and making it your own and adding enough to make it different without feeling like a copy, both SF9 & TBZ did a great job, and it just comes down to personal preference on who you choose as #1 But as far as really judging it on the basis of the Round's name and who truly understood the assignment, my top pick stays the same. SF9 Did take "sexy" to another level, so if I ignore the round's name I'm perfectly happy for them to get the top pick, good for them. TBZ still did an incredible job and those strings are living rent-free in my head, the snake was awesome and synchronization between the guys was as perfect as it can get. So for me, both teams had great aspects that you can make an argument for if you were to pick one over the other but I understand the critique :)

Oh my god I'm watching that clip right now, Bang Chan is freakin' adorably humble 🤣 It's so crazy to hear Ryan Reynolds mention the No Easy trailer and compliment SKZ, thank you for the clip!! I'm glad you're enjoying the reactions, and thank you for the kind words on the updated setup, I like it a lot too, though I didn't plan on changing it, I was forced to due to a leaking Air conditioner 😬 But it worked out for the best :)

- in fact as there must be a winner there must be a classification of the groups it is obligatory. on the other hand, DG, I agree that with the level of the groups and the quality of the performances, being ranked 2nd or 6th is no longer important. We all know how talented these bands are. - even now 2 years later I am still impressed by the creativity of these groups all the performances could be of the level of quality that have been seen in the end of the year award ceremonies like MAMA, MMA, AAA etc... -if I really had to do a ranking it would be a grouped ranking of my 3 favorite performances (ATEEZ, STRAY KIDS and THE BOYZ) I'm shocked not to put BTOB or IKON in the top 3 given their incredible performance.

i remember when the show aired that a lot of people was just knowing about BTOB and thought that Changsub was...the normal one...yeah sure hahahahha....but thas because he was sick the whole show hahahahaha

- I did think it was prerecorded at first but then we see Lisa and iKon interacting after the performance, so I really don't understand why she couldn't join them on stage. - Don't you just love Mnet's spoiling bullshit? - Very natural conversations. - Yeah, no sweat. We're all just trying to keep up with the October craziness. - Oh, so you skipped the spoilers at the very beginning? Don't worry, Mnet has got you covered with MORE SPOILERS. - Eunkwang is just getting weirder by the day. Never change. - Sure Peniel, just let everyone else do all the work. - Oh, if you think that SF9 look naughty now, I look forward to your reaction to the actual performance. - Miyeon and Minhyuk is one of those rare relationships where I'm jealous of BOTH of them because I have a crush on both of them - iKon really wanted to see that kiss happen, huh? - I love jazzy songs like this. This was great. And even though Miyeon didn't have any singing parts in this, I vastly prefer this collaboration over Lisa because she was actually part of the performance. - Ok, we're apparently throwing La La Land into the same category as Saw and Sixth Sense - If you want some more jazzy music to listen to, check out Parov Stelar. He is my favourite artist of all time (yes, above any Kpop artist) and basically invented the genre of Electro Swing. I'm not asking for reactions, it's just a recommendation for your own time :) - There is a three day Jazz festival in my city every year with stages all over downtown and it's really fun to just wander around the city, pop into some venues and discover new music that way. - Bobby, you don't need to be a woman to write Eunkwang a love letter ;) Although, your wife probably wouldn't be too happy about it - It is absolutely his confidence that makes Eunkwang so attractive. - Even Shuhua is blonde now, how did they convince her? - Now they're just making me reminisce about the concert back in May. Luckily Ateez seem to be coming back to Europe in February or March. I really need to see them again. - Answer is GREAT song to close a concert. The concert I went to had Answer in the middle of the set and the encore was different but I can see it working incredibly well in an encore. - This riff is from another song but I cannot for the life of me remember what it was. - This is my favourite performance from this round. It was awesome from the start but La Poem coming in and singing Ode To Joy is what did it for me. The sheer scale of it all, truly epic. And I gotta compliment La Poem on their German pronounciation. That was really good. - You understand why Inception and Answer are always fighting for the top spot of my favourite Ateez title track? - Move is THE Taemin song. And it's a really difficult choreography. It looks very minimal but that's exactly where the challenge lies. The amount of body control required to execute it perfectly is quite frankly impossible for anyone but Taemin himself. - Chani is getting more and more concerned by the second. - Dawon does not appreciate your bad puns. - Does Chani know everyone? Just casually call Taemin, sure why not. - I don't know what to say. Just, I love this, I love the colour scheme, I loved how they changed it up while still staying true to the spirit of the original song. SF9 weren't trying to do exactly what Taemin did and that's a very good thing. They reinvented it in their own style and it came out so good! - I couldn't be an idol. Not just because I can't sing but also because I couldn't pull all nighters like this without completely falling asleep. - Alright so, The Boyz' Monster. In and of itself it's a great performance and in any other round I would rank this high. But this is „No Limit“. No limit on the production, the scale and everything else. THIS is the round where you do the ridiculous kind of stuff TBZ did on Road to Kingdom. Think back to the crossing flagpoles in Reveal. The snake here is honestly underwhelming. They didn't do anything interesting with it. Hell, they are the very reason why everyone on Kingdom is going so crazy. - Still, they did a phenomenal job with what they were trying to do. My ranking for the No Limit round would be: 1. Ateez 2. SF9 3. Stray Kids 4. BTOB 5. iKON 6. The Boyz All of them did great though. - I'm not even gonna comment on the rankings in the show. - At least there aren't any eliminations this time. - I am quite happy about SF9 taking first place though. Alright, I'm off. Gotta catch a concert tonight. Very first tour of a new boy group called Blitzers. Highly recommend you check them out at some point. They have a very strong rock and metal influence in their sound.
